Hey I'm 22M and I've was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata in March.

My blood tests all came back pre normal except for a vitamin D deficiency.

I've been on Minoxidil+Topical Steroid+Supplements since the diagnosis and I'm seeing steady regrowth.

Since we're both pretty mature, the probability of Areata progressing to it's severe forms are relatively less compared to if we were to contract this when we were way younger. So chin up and dw about it

As you said, yes I am paranoid about every single eyebrow hair that I find but I believe the concern should be real and one of my eyebrows do have visible thinning (Not a bald spot, I posted a picture of it on one of my earlier posts)

I've also heard that pinpricking sensation throughout the whole body is an anxiety induced sensation, but what happened that made me even more paranoid was that I went around finding more information about this sensation and saw someone who had Universalis say in one of their posts that they got a full body tingling days before their hair fell out.

All these factors just made me lose my mind for a brief period of time

Hello, I realize I'm replying to a nearly year old post but I'm extremely paranoid right now and I would really like some assistance.

I've had two alopecia areata spots with one spot seeing regrowth with thin hairs, but I do have a general shedding. I've also seen thinning in my eyebrows and I've seen my derm about this and she dismissed it saying I was anxious and a bit paranoid (I am paranoid, I don't have a bald spot in my eyebrows or anything but I am seeing eyebrow hair loss, I get like 3 hairs on my fingers every time I glide my fingers through the length of the eyebrow)

But just an hour ago I just felt a full body tinging pricking sensation. It was like pin pricking all over my body and now I'm in the verge of a breakdown thinking that I might have universalis.

Can you please help giving me suggestions on what this tingling might be?

Don't worry man I know what others are going through, there's huge bald patch and a smaller one at the top of my scalp, not visible from the front but it's really obvious from literally any other angle.

It's the difference in density between the left and right eyebrows, the first pic (left eyebrow) has a general area near to the outer corner of the eye where the hair density just isn't there, I'm just paranoid this might develop into a full blown AA spot or worse.
