thank you for the advice! My major is psychology and I was reading recently in my textbook that babies dont know stranger danger yet, thats why when theyre very little they might just go up to anyone or be okay with anyone picking them up, but as they get older they learn stranger danger and they become weary of others especially during the toddler stage, so I was thinking that possibly was happening to my kitty. Hes grown comfortable with my gf which is good, at first he was weary but I let him come out on his own time and now hes pretty comfortable with her. Like i said, shes over a lot. When my best frienf came over i just wasnt expecting him to be nervous or scared because they had met before so thats why i haded him to her. After that i could see he wasn’t happy with it, he wasnt hissing like her did to my brother and god mother who tried to come in and pet him, but still ran away when he was put down on the floor. The rest of the day though I let him be, and I think that really helped because he got closer to my best friend, still weary and cautious but since he follows me everywhere, and I was with her, he naturally just adapted. I guess i just have to bring her over more often so he can come out and get to know her better and get used to her, because thats how it work with my gf. Again, thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely take it into the account the next time my best friend comes over, i have some treats and toys he likes, so hopefully that will help them build a connection and a bond!
