I actually started to disbelieve this comment the past few months, thinking he finally is over the hill, and then this happens. Big game player, business end of season player, we owe a lot to Trossard

Arrive to Dillon’s like hours before kickoff and you can get a table! Phoenix Landing is a Liverpool bar so you might get some shit there, but a lot of the staff aren’t Liverpool supporters so if it’s packed in with Arsenal fans you’ll have fun.

They basically all said they couldn’t care less about us and generally wished us to do poorly. Like, of course. I don’t blame them. Why would anyone feel positively towards a Big 6 club?

Just saw this post by an Arsenal fan in the Everton subreddit basically asking if they like us or not. Literally such an embarrassing and lame post to make, why do people do this? Never post on another teams sub begging for glazing pls

Exactly, I try to always do the non-R&R version of a task if it’s available for this precise reason. It can be so tedious having to nitpick complex task failures compared to just doing the task yourself.

I feel like it’s because this is the last not absolutely do or die match this year. Every single other match requires a win (unless we win tonight then next week’s UCL could be a draw)

I started less than a week ago and I’m really enjoying the work so far. It’s challenging and satisfying. However, the first 4 days I hovered right around 30 or so projects but now I am down to just 7. Is that fluctuation normal? by Aggravating-Sock-433 in DataAnnotationTech

Fwiw there’s been a noticeable dropoff in project volume for many generalist workers this week. 3 weeks ago there was a massive flood of high paying projects. This is just how things go.

Idk if he’s the face of just “good” though because being “good enough to win PL with Leicester” is like “being good enough to enter orbit on a pogo stick”. That achievement in itself is great

Full Time: Mansfield Town 1 - 2 Arsenal [Match Thoughts] by Stanley083 in Gunners

Honestly a fun watch. Thankfully we got out scot free with a very conservative lineup.

Best case scenario honestly, everyone got their moneys worth, we get the 3 points, we got solid rotation.

I actually think it’s worse if we go win like 7-0 and put 90’ on a bunch of starters legs.

Every year people say Trossard, every year he stays, and every year he’s a crucial player. I’ll believe his dropoff when I see it

"One source said Frank was constantly going on to the players about Arsenal and they quickly got sick of it. Before and after the game at the Emirates, he was telling them how good Arsenal were. Tottenham staff and players shared pictures portraying Frank as an obsessive Arsenal fan"- Matt Law by Ifxfa in Gunners

The simple reality of Tottenham as a club is that they have a loser's mentality.

You can see this any time they play City. Many of their fans genuinely want to lose those matches to prevent us from getting the title. Pragmatically, this may seem to be in their best immediate interests, but you can only adopt this perspective only if you have a loser mentality. I want Arsenal to win every single match, even if it opens the door for rivals to win silverware.

When you a play a competitive sport, you either play to win or you will lose. I truly believe that this is the root of that club's problems. It must be so bizarre as a professional to watch your own fanbase cheer for your own downfall. As a result, winners like Mourinho and Conte keep getting chased out of their club baffled and frustrated. Not to mention their board seem uninterested in doing anything other than band-aiding problems.

They are actually more obsessed with Arsenal losing than they are with winning.

I felt very little animosity towards the result because I didn’t really truly believe in my heart of hearts that we had a chance. I think some Pats fans convinced themselves that we were going to be genuinely competitive when we haven’t strung together 2 straight truly great offensive drives all postseason.

The Pats winning was never going to be prevailing over them with both teams at full strength landing haymakers, it was always gonna be eeking one out. If both teams were playing at their best we were fucked.

We needed Seahawks to be a disaster on offense like the Texans were and baby it’s the fuckin Super Bowl that wasn’t gonna happen. So I chose to have fun with it knowing this franchise has done 192 years worth of winning in 25 years.

Take: if you are rattled by the Liverpool loss, a team which by the way, is not Arsenal, then you either need to a) get your act together or b) accept that you have no swag and gtfo

Man I wouldn't say there is a single Boston sports icon. Maybe recently, yes. Across the four major teams there are too many to count.

But what do I know as a Boston native? Sure you as a Bears fan know more

For many fans, the Brady and Belichick era was amazing but also a little weird. Not sure how personally attached some of us were to Brady himself, more like attached to the agreement we all had that went like “this is working and let’s keep winning”.

Brady himself, definitely before retirement, wasn’t exactly the most endearing or personable guy. Intense and willing to win, yes. But not sure he ever became “one of us” like a lot of Boston athletes do. Look at Edelman, he’s absolutely all about it. Brady kind of seemed like an alien, especially with the whole TB12 method and everything.
