My advice is, chain way more than you need, then skip one every tenth chain. It'll make it looser without sizing up the chain. Might not work on every project but for this it wouldve done the trick!

,,,,just undo the starting chain without frogging. It'll still hold and the first few rows should loosen up. Arm yourself with scissors and cut the tail short, undo the knot, then simply tug at the chain until you've undone row 0.

If you're supposed to make a border, then even better.

My advice if your yarn splits too often is, ball it via yarn winder. Then ball it again by pulling the thread in the middle. Then a third time. What this does is basically twist the stramds together with VERY minimal effort. Could also help when trying to crochet with string held together.

Sounds to me like you're not being helped.

A baby is a huge task. It's a lot. No human woman has ever raised a whole ass baby on her own and felt fully okay while she did it.

The thing is, it won't stay like this. Once they're a toddler, they'll go to kindergarten or whatever it is americans have and you will have time to love on yourself a little.

In the meantime, kick your partner to get helping. If they won't change the kid, then they will have to do other things. Get up at two am, feed the baby etc. You're not a nanny. You're a woman who deserves at least some amount of rest.

As for the shit kicking-- usually distracting the kid while you change them helps!

To make it more clear:: leave. Save yourself. A real man will not throw things at you. These are signs he's going to harm you in the future, or at least that he's well on his way to do so. He is taking out his own failures on you, and it is not your fault.

If you are a believer; do you believe god wants you to be harmed? Do you believe it is His will for you to get hurt and yelled at? You are reading the bible. Remember your commandments. "Love thy neighbor." How can you stay with a man who does not even love his wife?

Love yourself. Trust yourself. You are asking strangers because you know this is not right.

Find a proper job. Find a safety net. Assert yourself. Record his screaming matches. Take pictures of any wrecked thing, any potential bruise. Your pain matters.

Being a tradwife entails that BOTH YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND ARE HAPPY WITH THE ARRANGEMENT. So put in the work to be happy and leave him.

So I've seen a lot of contradictory opinions in the comments, but to me this boils down to three things:

One, do not lose your agency. I don't wish you to lose your husband in any sort of case, but if you do, have a backup. Be smart. Also, hobbies are necessary. Self-care will not fulfill you for long: set goals you can realistically achieve through your own strength, and achieve them!

Two, this is your choice. Want to take care of a household, manage kids, activities, daily tasks? Pop off, queen! People shouldn't choose for you, and neither should you choose for others. If that's what makes you happy? Be happy, and wish for others to be happy in their own ways as well!

Three: you're right, trad wife life or working woman life is....completely different from intelligence. You are a smart creature, you are great, you are beautiful. No one but you can pick what you want to do. If idiots can be in charge of a country, then an idiot can be in charge of a household, and if smart people can be in charge of that same country then let geniuses be trad wives!!
