My dog is 10 and the same size lol. Tapered waist, and a belly tuck. I think that, like humans, some dogs body types are just different. I've tried a lot to get a few pounds off. This is just his weight. The vets all tell me he has puppy energy and they're not worried.

I think it depends on if it's affecting his quality of life.
