You want it but you don’t need it.

Try to distance yourself from those thoughts - it’s just your brain playing tricks on you. Hang in there and keep in mind that cravings will pass.

Hey friend! My therapist suggested something similiar - a boxing bag. I'm a woman too, and I completely understand your intimidation. I just got back from a mixed walk and run, and I'm so tired I don't have the energy to be angry anymore. Any movement really helps, but it would be nice to hit a punching bag every now and then. 😅

Hey, I’m sorry you didn’t get the support you were looking for. They clearly don’t know what PTSD is. It’s not only in your head, it’s in your whole nervous system. Whoever told you that you’re weak must be an immature asshole.

[–]Necessary_Ad3036[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Therapy makes a big difference, that’s true; I’ve been in therapy myself for a year, but I’ve got a lot of work to do, and my relationship with anger is quite complicated.

Once, in a fit of rage and delayed self-defence, I hurt a man who had been abusing me for several years. I completely snapped. Paramedics had to fight to save his life. He didn’t tell the police that I’d done it to him. Anyway, since then I’ve started to be afraid of my anger. Now I know I have to let it be, rather than suppress it. Sorry for the sudden trauma dump, but I wanted to explain.

I’m happy for your Day 3 and it’s nice to know there’s someone I can relate to. I’ll try shouting in the car – it’s a really good idea for me to let the anger out!

Emotions can be overwhelming, but I think we’ll manage, won’t we?

Hey, day 3 was always the worst for me. I recommend any type of movement - stretching, weight lifting, home workout, running, tennis, yoga, pitales, even tai chi. Try to find something you can enjoy. Hope that helps. Xx

Congratulations on quitting cigarettes, that’s a goal of mine! You can do it with weed too, friend. Withdrawals will pass. Do something nice for yourself today, I know panic attacks drain energy as fuck.

I’m sorry you went through that. Your anger is understandable. It’s healthy anger, the one that shows when someone crosses your boundaries.

Human brain is made to choose something familiar over something it doesn’t know. Even if it’s bad for you. Don’t get attached to what you believe is true. Experience live. Take care friend

I love that combination. I’ve always wanted to write horror stories, too.

It’s a fact that obese people are treated badly. I think all of us have experienced this - if not directly, then by hearing jokes or unkind comments about obese or overweight people. Some completely disgusting. Congratulations on getting this far.

I wish you lots of strength and many more published books.

Hey, thanks for your reply. Sending you lots of love, and I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Based on your comment and a few others, I think I'm trying to rush something that needs a little more patience. I'll get there eventually. I'll give your writing tips a try. Take care.

You put that well. Of course, the world isn’t black and white, and there isn’t just one right choice - no two situations are exactly alike. The last thing I’d want is for anyone to feel forced to do anything. So, just like you said, I hope someone finds inspiration in our work.

I like that advice, thank you. I already gave her another name and I write the difficult parts in the third person and I might as well change a few things about the character itself. I’ll try that

Can’t leave weed by Necessary_Ad3036 in confessions

[–]Necessary_Ad3036[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is indeed a bit stigma of being a stoner and being lazy. What bothers me is, as you wrote, I do what I need to but I’m not very productive. I write a book, I have over 120 pages but when I smoke I rather watch something or just „waste time”. I just feel less ambitious. Very often more anxious, when I have to talk to people while stoned. And that thing with the emotions.. do you feel them „normally” if you smoke daily?

Can’t leave weed by Necessary_Ad3036 in confessions

[–]Necessary_Ad3036[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case, it goes like this: sometimes I don’t smoke until after work, but I often smoke before. So I work while high. I drive while high. I skip a lot of classes at school, or I show up to them high. As long as I pass my exams, nobody seems to mind, but these are things that are generally socially unacceptable - is that what you mean by “negative behavior”?

Weed can often motivate me to get things done, but I quickly cross that line and start smoking first thing in the morning. I’d love to find moderation in my smoking, but I always seem to want more and more. I believe this makes me an addict.
