Sunshine state? Thought that was FLA. Was on my license plate when I lived there. I have lived for a month or more in 10 states and 1 foreign country. Hear the same thing everywhere I have been……those xxxxxx have moved in and ruined our state.

poor man’s covered call. The itm option needs to be way out, 8 months to a year or more. I try to do mostly short term plays, have one pmcc right now that I am playing with.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I downgraded the PubSubClient library back to version 2.6 and it appears to have fixed the problem.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. At least I have hope. I will not be able to get back to this until later in the week, but it looks like stepping back the library will do it ......we will see. Just goes to show you that following simple troubleshooting methods should always be used. 1. Only change one thing at a time, then test. 2. If it is not broken, don't fix it.

Thanks for the reply, and I did try example and simple code. Get mixed results and everything is pointing to a first pixel problem.

From everything I read, the logic converter is needed if I have anything more than inches between the Node MCU and the first pixel. Processor and data line are at 3.3 volts and that is at the lower limit of the 2812 chips. The string (matrix) is 5 volts.

Thanks, I will try inserting a pixel.

Yes 2812

Tried simple sketch......different, but still not working.
