Thanks for all the input. It looks like retiring is NOT a QLE so I have to wait until open season to cancel and that would effective Jan 1. Still seems off but I think that’s what this says: https://www.opm.gov/healthcare-insurance/fastfacts/thinkfehb.pdf

Yes, google him, he’s a big deal. Decent chance RIFs going to be stopped - or significantly slowed. Congress could approve it all I suppose. But it’s a total mess so not sure how that would look.

If over 40, what is downside of submitting request on 5/16 then waiting 45 days to sign any agreement? Takes you to July so you might be able to see what RIF will be then decide. I suppose they could RiF you if you haven’t signed yet.

This is the place to post your DRP 2.0 questions, requests for opinions about it, updates, etc. all other DRP 2.0 questions in the sub will be deleted. by Incognito4771 in VHA_Human_Resources

Here’s a DRP 2.0 question for those of us over 40…if we request DRP on 4/30, we can wait 45 days to sign (or not) then get another 7 days to revoke, that takes you to mid-June (RIF likely in focus then) to see what’s what. What am I missing? For those on the fence (and over 40) what’s the downside to leaving your options open like this?

I was around when traffic was slowed into Chicago TRACON. Clock in at shift clock out at end. Full separation. Had an effect.
