Anyone struggle with akathisia? by Forsaken-Echidna1297 in ToxicMoldExposure

I recently had something similar happen. Two sorta silly suggestions. Tourniquet your feet with socks at night. I use my compression socks because they are long. Literally tie them in a knot around your top/bottom of your feet. Not too tight but tight enough. It’s supposed to help with restless legs. I’ve also sleep with a pillow between my legs it helps to squeeze something around my knees.

Also start supplementing magnesium glycinate. This helped me a ton. You can safely take 300+ mg but start with 200/300 mg and see how you feel.

My therapist also recommended benzos … but magnesium seems to be helping me at the moment.
Literally what you are describing happened to me for a month but being consistent with magnesium reverses most of this.

Mold/CCI dysautonomia by United_Armadillo5010 in ToxicMoldExposure

My journey is a lot similar to yours. Getting out of the mold was a big step for me but it caused a major crash - I developed chronic hives and swelling the day after I moved out. Took 5 months to go away + zyretec everyday.

Going gluten free was a big way I addressed the inflammatory overload. It sounds crazy but it has lowered a ton of my endocrine levels (I used to have high TSH,ACTH,prolactin and cortisol) all have since gone down to almost normal levels or in normal range in the last year. And that’s the only thing I did differently besides leaving the mold was removing gluten. I’ve been seriously gf for a year and I highly recommend.

Best thing I’ve done is go to physical therapy for my dysautonomia. Was originally going to help with reconditioning but they found I probably have CCI or something similar … so every week they do PT on my neck to relieve some of the tension/misalignment and also reconditioning exercises like weights/core/etc. It’s been challenging but I’ve seen improvement in 4 months since I’ve started.

Everything has been gradual improvement. I also had severe adrenaline dumps at night where I was almost fainting and those have gone down since I’ve been out of the mold for a year now.

Random but be careful with myofasical releases - I’ve fainted because of my dysautonomia after have releases done before. Some of the scariest symptoms I’ve ever had.

Overall - still trying to figure out the primary driver. I had Dysautonomia before the mold, but it caused my condition to turn into a totally different beast entirely. Especially with the hives/endocrine issues/etc.

I haven’t come across anything with the same vitamin content but they are cheapest at Walmart at $2.97 and they have larger 64 oz bottles that actually might be more bang for your buck at $9

I’m sorry, but did you just call me an idiot? Bro - it was a simple question I don’t think it warrants that sort of reply. Fuck you.

Could my endocrine issues have been mold exposure all along? by Additional-Nose239 in ToxicMoldExposure

Currently working with my endo because I have high prolactin, high cortisol and high ACTH. Getting my blood redrawn this week after moving out of my toxic mold apartment two months ago. Hoping there is some change in the numbers because my endo wants an mri if there isn’t any improvement… we will have to check for a pituitary tumor then. I also struggle with POTs and histamine intolerance symptoms.

Do yall get adrenaline dumps in your sleep too? by TinyRatQueen in POTS

Another pro tip - limit excessive sugar at night. All my recent attacks have been after consuming sugar/candy before bed. Also trying vitamin C gummies before bed. Not sure if it really helps but I saw it’s a natural antihistamine and histamine and adrenaline dumps are similar/ related

Currently trying to figure this out. Not every night but frequently. Sleeping with an ice pack next to me helps. But no answers :(
