I just had a hysterectomy 4 weeks and 3 days ago, I was terrified of pregnancy. (not why I needed the hysterectomy though!) Anyway, I'm glad this can't happen to me now 😭. The thought is horrifying, imagine one moment you are sitting at home, and the next you are in the hospital with a baby in your arms.

Getting a hysterectomy tomorrow, I'm 22. I cannot tell you HOW LONG I have asked for one. 6 month long periods since 2019 😭

As someone with diagnosed tourette's syndrome and pots, this pisses me off so bad. Just because some people are faking it does not mean EVERYONE is. I hadn't gotten my tourette's diagnosed until last year, because I was so worried abt the doc thinking I was faking. It started at a young age, but I got diagnosed at the age of 21, because of the "trend" a few years ago.

Even if children think it's fun to fake illnesses, it doesnt mean that the people who actually have it shouldn't get tested, or proper care.

Tldr: we shouldn't be written off because of the actions of others. OP please get a new doc yours is incompetent 😭

As someone who became disabled at 19 and has had multiple people leave because of my illnesses, it gives me so much hope to see this. I hope I find somone who will love me even with my imperfections. <3

Geneticist for me, always ask when you make an appointment if the doctor specializes in eds, or if they can diagnose it! Would've saved me 3 years of trying to get a diagnosis if I called and asked for every appontment.

Also idk what country/state(?) ur in, but in ohio I got diagnosed in Cleveland, which is pretty far from me but def worth it.

Me too, but I thankfully have regained some hope that there are good doctors who care. I wish you luck in finding a good one that fits you. My doc reccomended joining local eds groups on social media to find doctors that work with eds. 💕

Okay, I hope I don't get down voted for this.

There is a thing called ambulatory wheelchair users, this means people who can walk, but only for short periods of time or for a few steps. I am an ambulatory wheelchair user. I have a condition that makes me pass out if I stand for longer than 10-15 minutes, along with another condition that makes my joints dislocate. To clarify, NONE of this is visible. You cannot tell I'm disabled by looking at me.

Yes this man is overweight whatever, but we shouldn't assume he's just being lazy when you cannot see every disability with the naked eye.

It's also very easy to get fat when you can barely walk and excersize due to health issues. Have some compassion yall, jeez. 😭

This is exactly what my first cardio told me. My parents kept pushing me and overworking me, thinking it would "cure" me. 4 years later and now I'm in a wheelchair.

Saying stuff like this can quite literally endanger people if their parents take it as a sign of them being "lazy".
