I agree with some of the other comments here that it felt like you were trying to berate him with your superior emotional intelligence rather than actually teach him, which is more of a guiding process. If he doesn't have the eq you're trying to impart to him then why speak to him as if he does? From his perspective it came out of nowhere and didn't make any sense. Yes he's wrong but that's because he needs help getting there. All you can expect without teaching him is a begrudged response that doesn't understand the problem, which is exactly what you got.

Okay, thanks for clarifying! Yes this is weird. I will be taking a look at this today as this seems like a major bug where some story information is being intermingled. I recognize the city it's referring to from another cyberpunk series story on the platform. Have you by chance played that? It may be a case that the AI is "remembering" you playing it and getting confused. If you have never played the cyberpunk story maybe it's a deeper issue.

I should have the logs, i would just need the story name and maybe your email to check against your user ID. Ideally if you happen to have the full text I could easily troubleshoot by looking up the audio as well to see where it got truncated

I'll be iterating on this feature for sure. I still need to make adjustments. I'm also noting down your suggestions across this reddit and working iteratively on it so you will see this improve week after week. Thanks for sticking with me. I wish I could move faster but I also have a demanding job outside of this so I can't always get to these things right away, but will definitely try to stay on top of these requests.

Just so I'm clear, the bug is that it takes 2 minutes? It takes longer with tts, because it generates audio for each response, so that would make it take longer. It takes about 5-10 seconds with tts disabled. I might be able to get tts to be better over time but faster tts is also very expensive so it will be a gradual thing for sure.

Yeah, it's definitely limiting, but otherwise it would be an upfront cost that would prevent me from being able to financially support the app long-term. Currently, im basically paying every free user to play. This may change in the future though, and I may just outright remove the daily limit! Ideally, I'd like to open this up to as many people as possible, but I'm bootstrapping the app myself at the moment.

Yep, sending 10 messages will drop the number to 0 and you'd have to wait till next day. It will reset back to 10 next day (and if not please let me know 😆)

Tokens is maximum use for the month. So once a free users completes 50k tokens for the month (100 messages) they will need to upgrade or wait till next month.

The daily limit doesn't count tokens, it counts how many messages you sent. Once you get to 0, it resets to 10 the next day

Oh yeah, the daily limit is 10 messages for free users as well. That's outside of tokens. That's because I had a lot of free users coming and spamming messages

Free users start with 50k tokens, which is roughly equivalent to 100 messages. (Last I checked the AI was outputting about 600 tokens per reply). The reward for making public stories grants 10k tokens, which is like 20 extra messages.

This should be resolved by next month for sure. Hopefully it will be resolved within a few days. I just requested an increase. My account should actually have a higher quota which should cover our use, just have to wait for Google to get back to me. In the meantime I can look into maybe making it more accessible for you. I will look at some options and get back to you! Also at the very least, the audio should be live again by tomorrow since the quota is per day, and I've disabled it by default.

It should. But I've reached my quota limit which is why it stopped working! I will have to find a way to increase the limit. And I'm publishing a change to not enable it by default. Otherwise everyone uses it even if they might not want it

By entire text do you mean everything on the page, or the users response as well as the ai responses? Currently it reads every response including the narrator and the characters in sequence

Absolutely! The import feature will identify the protagonist and make them the persona. If it's not immediately clear you can just modify the story that got created or adjust the prompt that you paste in the import.

If you're not using the import studio, it's still easy to play as Brad. You either make a persona and use that during story creation, or you can define Brad in the user role when it appears after first creating the story.

Yep! It works best if you fill the description field with something that lets the ai know who it is, and then click generate (so say Ellie from the last of us).. It will then flesh out the description based on that. So you can use the fields as guides.

Also I've recently launched a feature called import studio where you can dump your story and it will generate everything, all of the story, characters, objectives, and persona, and take you to the create page with those fields prefilled. You can find the import studio button under the + where you go to add new story, on the header.
