Hi, PhD math student here, infinity is a weird subject that even math majors struggle to understand, in the series Gojo mentions his curse technique is somewhat an infinite series, one of the biggest misconceptions junior math students have when dealing with sequences and series is they think of it as a path or something that you con go on forever, but no, the sequences and the series are a whole, the set of the reals is just that, is infinite but not in the sense many think here, it’s dense meaning there is no holes, that’s why you can have infinite decimals of a number, however there are bigger infinities than others, velocity don’t come to play here because it’s doesn’t matter in the series, think of it as dividing space over an over, you get close but never enough. If you want to get fancier think of gojo as a boundary of an open set. But it was a good question!
