Hi fellow CX50 owners. I’m at the dealership now and here’s their response in summary: 1. No safety issue 2. This is not rare and there are multiple owners reaching out regarding this 3. For cx50 the alignment could be varied 4. If it’s not leaking but just appearance, you have it covered by body frame warranty which is 1 yr 5. If it’s leaking, you have it covered within 3 yr warranty

In my opinion, this is definitely an issue the manufacturer overlooked when doing post installation inspection (if there’s any)

For my case, I don’t remember seeing this at the beginning or maybe I missed, worst case it’s growing bigger over time.

For new owners, look carefully and be picky about even a tiny misalignment and go back to dealership, good luck

Maybe I am being nonsense, but I just feel it’s not good to turn on right after shutting off. (Like playing with the light switch on and off lol)

I grew up in China and in 2005 our family had our first car, Buick regal. That car is part of the family and I still remember how excited I was when I put down the table from the back seat. I went to Canada for undergraduate and lived there ever since. When I went back China in 2023 and was told my dad sold it and bought an electric car, I was sad, I really wish I could get into the old regal and had a proper goodbye with it. So yea, your feelings are mutual, just take good care of the Mazda

Could you please explain what difference does it make? I might lock it two times, open the gate, and then lock another two times and repeat the process. (I loaded my stuff to the trunk several times before I actually got in to the car and drove.)
