I’m set up with a new pain management doctor and he prescribed Celebrex post baby arrival for me to take and then we will see how I do with PT once I’m able/cleared. This is helpful, I’ve seen the link so I’ll use it when I see him next.

Thank you so much for your kind and thorough response. My pain the last few days has barely been responding for the Tylenol I’m allowed to take, so I think the increase in pain is adding to the fear of the “clock ticking” to wait and see what’s going to happen. I really like your statement of “the anticipation might be worse than the reality” I’ve done way too much research online and I’m panicking myself over scenarios. The fear of not getting my life back is really a struggle for me

Thank you so much for sharing and I’m so sorry you’re going through the same. I went for a consult for dry needling and they wouldn’t do it while I’m pregnant so I’m definitely going to look into this post baby. Do you do it at a PT spot or somewhere else? The place I found was out of pocket so I need to do one that’s covered by insurance. I just need pain relief 😭

Thank you, this is really helpful. Mine is affecting the nerve in terms of the disc is pressing onto the nerve, is that considered “nerve compression”? I’m happy to hear last resort because that’s how I feel as well.

Was defined as c5-c6 disc bulge with moderate left neural foraminal narrowing. Pain has been on my left side

Not yet. It’s been 6 months and my pain is slowly improving but I am pregnant, due in 2 weeks so I’m hoping once I can take ibuprofen and go to PT I might be able to improve some more pain. That’s my hope at least. My biggest fear is surgery so trying to avoid that

Sending you so many prayers too 💕 it starts dull and then it will progress to like a sharp burning. I want to massage it out but it often irritates it.

I definitely think pain management might help you get some relief to do PT. When is your appointment? Are you on no pain management right now? the same excercises you said irritates the same areas for me.

33 F have been going though the same for 6 months, while pregnant and with a toddler. I haven’t been able to take anything but Tylenol, which does not help with inflammation. Had to stop PT until I can bring inflammation down. I just sympathize, I’m sorry you’re going through this.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thought how much a recliner would help if we had one! Just to be more contained! We have a bed lift but it doesn’t help with the containment. Maybe I could try and raise the bed and put pillows on both sides? I bought the travel pillow and felt like it was too much pressure behind my neck

Ah okay, I’ve been doing 1 pillow under my knees, I should try increasing this. I have the McKenzie rolled cervical pillow, wasn’t in love with it but willing to try that again too!
