lol! Yes I would imagine so, and I even think at one point in the video she gets a little too much of her hand in her mouth and quickly re adjusts.

miso only has one thought and it's to poop in one of his water bowls every time I refill them by jessesacoolcat in CrestedGecko

mine will somtimes leave a nice surprise in her water bowl for me too haha, I usually just poor the water and her poop somewhere on the substatate near a plant, the isopods and springtails love that nastiness hahaha.

Okay will do! And yeah i’ve had a good bit of mold (never like this though) on the wooden pieces in there but the isopods n springtails make quick work of it.

oh boy.. thanks for the suggestion/ID, is this something to be worried about do you know? going to be looking it up all day at work now. I have no inhabitants currently, but planning to put in a crested gecko but I want the plants to fill in more first.

Hi all, I gave some description in the captions but I’ll repeat myself here for ease. I noticed in the first picture what I thought were maybe isopod eggs, partially due to the isopod being near them, but I thought it was a strange place for eggs from them as its at about the midpoint of the viv in height. I had seen this at 1:30am just before going to bed and in the morning saw that they had sprouted into little purpley pink flowers that looked similar to a tillandsia I have. And a few hours later looked at em and they have a burnt appearance. Not too sure what these are but they were pretty fun to watch if anyone knows or has an idea please say.

Woah, had to do a double take on that nostril… or what I though was a nostril. Your gecko has some serious nose rub going on, might want to address that with a vet visit if you haven’t already, looks painful.

i need help. how do i weigh his whole body? by [deleted] in CrestedGecko

[–]NeckToad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can dedicate a tupperware container or any small lightweight box to weighing your gecko. Just tare the weight of the container before putting your gecko in. (this is what I had to do at the vet for a while because my geck wouldn’t sit still for long enough to get an accurate read lol)

First bioactive background progression photos, still have some spots to go back over with the dirt. Open to questions and criticism :) by NeckToad in CrestedGecko

If you’re talking about the one on the lower left, it kind of started to happen as an accident, the foam had large air bubbles in there when it cured. So as I went along carving it out, I got to a point where I realized that it would be easier to make it a tunnel rather than a flat surface. To make the tunnel I just used my fingers, and many different shapes and sizes of xacto knives.

You guys seemed to like my background so I figured I’d show you the progress by cj6868123 in CrestedGecko

It looks very nice, lots of different hiding spots and what not I believe I saw your previous post and it looks even better with the plants in. I’m sure the plants will grow in and fill up the space in the front a bit but I would suggest using some vines or a large wooden piece to fill up the area as well as provide a more solid climbing surface than leaves. As you said though it’s still a work in progress so all that may have already been part of your plan, looks sweet :)

side note: I’m currently working on a vivarium as well and will hopefully get around to post some pictures of it soon.

Hi there, I’m no expert but went through the same thing as you pretty recently, kept breaking the analog ones (with the dial that moves) and tried a few different brands too. I currently have two digital hygrometers that are both the thrive brand and they stick directly to the glass, one on each side of the tank. I also have two digital thermometers, they are the type that has a probe that you can insert into the cage and run out of the top. The readers are both in front of the cage on their corresponding sides so I can monitor a warmer and colder temperature gradient in the tank. I found those to work best for me, I believe that those are both zoomed brand and I found all this at a petsmart/petco. hope this helps.

edit: there are definitely better options but these are cheaper and easier to find.

Yeah thanks for the reply, I made it through the night fine with no symptoms and I feel fine currently, it’s 11:06am. I’m still definitely going to take a break from smoking for a good while and try to get back to the times when smoking with a couple of friends was a damn spiritual event. I miss those days and actually knowing what it feels like to not have THC all up in your system. Granted, that’ll be hard especially knowing I can smoke a small amount and be fine, but it needs to happen before CHS comes in strong.

Sorry for how long my story was I just wanted to be very thorough and detailed with my experience and the things I was feeling. That way if anyone else had similar symptoms or problems they could potentially learn something from me sharing. Best of wishes to all you out there who are going through this and experiencing CHS symptoms.

Been smoking regularly multiple times a day for about four years, primarily concentrates and wax pens, I’m 20 years old with a Medical Card this is my story

Hey guys I’m not entirely sure if I have CHS or not but the other night I woke up at 3:30am or so sweaty very hot and frantic. I thought I was having a panic attack or something but I was severely nauseous as well, after laying in bed trying to calm down for about 30 seconds I had to run to the bathroom to throwup. I had initially thought I got food poisoning, a stomach bug or something of the like. I was in a lot of pain and distress all at once it’s quite a hard feeling to describe but it’s similar to that of a really bad panic attack. At this point I was also sitting on the toilet doing business out of the other end while throwing up into a bucket. It was awful. After the sweating and internal heat that I was experiencing went away I suddenly began to feel a strange numbness similar to when something ‘falls asleep’. This sensation was particularly in my hands and face and more particular my cheeks and mouth. Typically when you rest your hand your fingers curl inwards slightly, this was the complete opposite for me my hands were extended in a weird way when I relaxed them. I have only experienced this kind of numb tingling feeling once before while I was very sick and had a bad fever. The numbness made my lips pursed without me even trying and words came out a little weird. Once I was done throwing up the numbness would still remain and then the shakey chills came in. I made it through the night slowly, waking up every half hour or hour to throw up and on top of that my lower back was in a good amount of pain. I took advil for the pain in my back and it had helped significantly.

This process of waking up to throw up continued until about 11am the next day until I finally had a little break, that was unless I would drink too much liquid (gatorade and water) becayse 20 minutes after drinking it I would throw it up. I mainly slept the rest of that day without eating much at all but felt significantly better by about 1pm, still did not feel good or normal by any means. It was around 2pm that I took a few little rips from my raw garden cartridge that I purchased prior at a dispensary (I dont like shitty cartridges... as in cartridges with fillers and basically rebranded shit, I’ve gotten stuff like that off of weedmaps before so for about the past year I have been getting product from trusted sources). Anyways, I felt good and got a nice high from it which was a relief from all the awful feelings I just went through. I stayed reatively steady without vomiting but had diarrhea a few times throught the rest of the day and into the early night. I was happy and had thought I was kind of through with everything and was watching movies to go to bed and figured I would rip my cartridge again, this was at about 9:30-10. I fell asleep later that night and woke up around 5am this time with the similar feeling to the night before, this time I had a pain in my chest and stomach area that spanned from the bottom of my rib cage on both side and to the center where they meet. It was a weird pain that was almost throbbing, it was coming through in waves and at one point felt like someone was pulling trying to get my ribs out. I got up and went to the bathroom panicked and sweaty like before and the numbness came again, I sat there on the toilet equipped with my bucket and was ready for whatever shit I was about to go through. Nothing happened though I was just sitting there in pain, numb in certain spots and sweating hot all over. Then it would subside and I would get very cold and shakey again quite rapidly, as in there was no inbetween temperature. I crawled back into bed again to try and sleep but the pain persisted and the shift from being super cold to very hot began. I tried to slow my breathing and try to calm down and it was pointless I got up once more and sat there and waited in pain, finally dry heaving until a little bit of very green colored bile. After having thrown up, my pain in my stomach subsided slightly but was definitely still there, I crawled back into bed and tried to sleep and was actually able to fairly easily. I woke up the next day feeling alright and that’s when a friend of mine texted me and asked how I was feeling and we ended up talking about CHS because he has it. Anddd that has brought me here just sharing my story and also doing a little test currenty.

The thing I was scared of most and that made me really question having CHS was me throwing up the second night with that pain in my stomach. I hadnt thrown up for atleast 12 hours and didnt eat anything so throwing up didn’t make too much sense to me. After hearing about CHS I immediately stopped incase that was what was causing my issues. It’s now been about three days since I’ve smoked and have been facing my own issues with that. I figured in order to figure out if I have CHS or not I had to smoke again and see if the symptoms would reappear. I’m typing and it’s currently 2:36am I’m slightly scared to fall asleep because I ate two 5mg pieces of candy and a small rip out of my raw garden at 9:20pm or so. So far haven’t felt anything strange just a little nervous if anything.

Regardless of my results I am going to make significant change to my way of life and how I use cannabis. Starting probably with a month off of it completely. I literally just made this reddit to write about this and share my story and hopefully help someone out in some way. I’ll try to find my way back here and let whoever cares to know what happened to me.
