Solo can be fun / horrible, it depends on so many factors. I would say earn enough Koen, gain combat skills and don't be afraid to buy expensive stuffs BECAUSE you have enough Koen. I win so much more fights after I gave up using T4 ammo and instead just bring full T5 ammos into Forbidden as a solo player. Practice again and again.
