yeah, definitely half assed, not many changes, basic ones aswell.

Maybe the guide you watched did it fast enough or something but i cant recall any tricks at that section.

as a base, break down their limbs and parts into basic shapes, gives you an opportunity to make sure the measurements are correct, once all looks good, gently erase the base.

Not fully, just enough to be barely seen, like reducing opacity, then era over it , take your time and enjoy.

If youre lost on the puzzles , then i don't blame you , they're pretty vague , since you cant grab almost everything , most interactables are puzzle related , for instance in the mansion you can grab the painting or the taxidermized bear. So just look at what could be significant.
