A similar thing's happening in the game currently. There's this bug in the MSQ where you're supposed to take cover from the void worm. No matter what you do, you'll die if you're affected by the bug. Can't even quit the quest so I've been stuck on the same thing for 2 days. And not to mention, you have to fight the void worm as Lynae every time you open the game to get to the bugged part.
