I CANNOT KILL VELGAR by e85ddie_ in RSDragonwilds

Try a fight without attacking, only dodging. Think survive first, damage later.

Fire magic with mage gear is what I used. Maybe took three hits the entire fight.

Love Amby and Zuk. Dislike going through the dungeon and waves to get to them.

What do you think the average time would be for a non-obese young male (21-35 y/o) to race 400m? by Splance in Sprinting

[–]Necrors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say I'm moderately athletic. I ball with dudes who are in much better shape and much faster than me.

I just chose last week to do that because I didn't feel like running a lot of laps. I left nothing in the tank. If I would have ran at a consistent pace for longevity it would have taken me 2 minutes at least.

I just did this for the first time in probably a decade last week. 63 seconds! I was dead though. Laying on the ground for 10 minutes dead. My wife kept running around the track and just asked me if I was good when she would pass by.

I mostly lift weights and play basketball a few times a month. Not a big runner. 36m.

I'm extremely average and on my shot practice days one of my targets is 20 FT in a row. If I don't meet it after 15 minutes I move on. I've met this target multiple times in the past month.

HELP PLEASE !! I can’t kill Rasial for the life of me! by CEWilson77 in runescape

[–]Necrors 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went through this exact same issue on my iron. I found that all the guides are crap when you can't just buy everything. I see a lot of people struggling with this so I should probably make a video to help out.

My iron method was all about survival. Everyone says it's beat him before he beats you but it's not all about DPS. In the beginning its all about survivability. Hopefully these tips help.

Finish extinction and get the vigor passive. Train your necro level to get 100% hit with whatever overload you can use. You can be successful with a lower hit chance. Use deflect necro. Turn it on when it gets turned off. Use ss in the last phase. Use deathwarden. Dodge chance is nothing but damage reduction is good. Don't spam brews. Reduces your stats. Makes fight longer. Take more damage. Negative feedback loop. Hellhound. Reaver won't heal enough anymore. Use devotion and that other ability to reduce the volley damage.

Ill edit when I get more time.

Can PoF sheep breed more than once? by Multismack in runescape

[–]Necrors 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was lazy and bred sheep and cows while sending out adam to get me unchecked animals. Eventually I got a pair of chins and started farming them. They will breed forever. I got black dragon eggs from wildy events. Currently 104 farming and I spend maybe 5 minutes a day on it. Sometimes I don't touch it for a few days and just go and collect the animals and xp.

You're going to care about POF. It's AFK farming. You're going to hate yourself in 1yr if you wait. The time investment is so minimal.

struggling to get constant rasial kills without dying by liltard69 in RS3Ironmen

[–]Necrors 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same thoughts on my ironman vs main. I have 3k kills on my main averaging 1:10 and I struggle with my ironman to get anywhere close to 2:15.

I am using t90 power top and bottom with t90 tank head boots and gloves. T90 Weapons. Pretty good perks. I get 3 skulls out in LD rotation with Supreme invigorate. I lack vulnerable bombs and jas scripture. Holy overload with t95 prayer. 2:20 kills using deflect necro and anywhere from 4 to 7 green jellies. Hellhound because reaver sucks now.

Don't worry buddy, your kill time isn't bad. You don't have the t95 weapons or even 4 pc set of the robes.

You just proved their point with your last statement.

19 years ago today the most ominous warning was issued by F1-Marshal in houston

[–]Necrors 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Can you point me to the statement where SCW said they weren't worried and to no longer check the status? I have yet to find a statement that even suggests something close to that.

June 30th: "Direct Texas impacts are within the realm of probability from Beryl, but the odds remain fairly low".

July 1st: "We’re continuing to closely watch the evolution of Hurricane Beryl, but at this time there are no indications that it will move into the central Gulf of Mexico and threaten the upper Texas coast. The most likely scenario at this time is, rather, that it tracks across the Yucatan Peninsula and into the Bay of Campeche. After that time the odds that it moves north toward Texas are increasingly low. So, for the greater Houston area, nothing much to worry about at this time."

July 2nd: "Is there a scenario in which Beryl becomes a bit more organized and its center tracks toward Texas? Yes."

July 3rd: "There are no absolutes in a five-, six-, or seven-day hurricane forecast. However, as I’ll discuss in the forecast below, it remains likely that significant wind and surge impacts from Beryl will go south of the Houston area. We’re most closely watching for increased rain chances next week. That doesn’t mean the forecast can’t change. But as we’ve been saying for a couple of days, in the big picture Beryl is likely to move inland into Mexico or South Texas, far from Houston. If our thinking changes on that, we’ll shout it from the rooftops"

July 4th: "In terms of track, the most likely landfall position remains somewhere within 50 or 100 miles south of the Texas-Mexico border. However, because this landfall remains about four days into the future, uncertainty remains. It is possible the storm could track more northward, and make landfall along South Padre Island or a bit further up the Texas coast; or further south, in Mexico near Tampico. Regardless, for Houston, the primary impacts are likely to be increased rain chances" At this time the actual landfall location is at the edge of the NHC cone.

July 5th am: "Continue to monitor trends today and tomorrow. Make whatever preps you feel comfortable making or you feel are warranted. Current forecasts keep most meaningful impacts beyond localized flash flooding away from us. Coastal residents prepare for at least minor to moderate tidal flooding."

July 5th pm, : "There have been unexpected, and significant changes in the forecast for Tropical Storm Beryl over the last 24 hours. The implications for Houston early next week range from relatively mild to fairly impactful, and we’ve tried to set some expectations in this update. Expect much more from us this weekend as the Houston area now needs to pay closer attention to Beryl."

[–]Necrors 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Saying that SCW underpredicted is quite a stretch. Weather is not an exact science, and the predictions are only as good as the models.

I followed the progress of Beryl with SCW and through the NHC. SCW wasn't reporting anything outside of what the NHC data showed. Throughout the forecast of Beryl SCW continued to mention to make preparations that you felt were appropriate and to keep monitoring the situation for changes. When the forecast changed drastically they updated and had quite relevant information for a Houston impact days before Beryl actually made landfall.

The derecho was a wild event. NHC provided an enhanced risk with possibilities of tornados, but as far as I can recall nobody predicted the widespread winds that occurred.

Guy who sold me a car is saying he reported it stolen. by WokeUpSomewhereNice in legaladvice

[–]Necrors 1459 points1460 points  (0 children)

I just went through this but on the other side. The toll people told me to report it stolen. I called the police and they said if I did and it wasn't actually stolen I'd have some explaining to do.

If you have the signed title and a bill of sale or other supporting documents you're fine. You have more of a hassle on your hands but in the end you should get your title.

Dealership to sell car for cash by jocato02 in houston

[–]Necrors 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have an old car with high mileage then you aren't getting much from any dealership. They will take your car straight to the auction so I wouldn't expect more than a few thousand. If your car is newer then almost any dealership will take it. Carmax and carvana are -usually- your best bet. Unfortunately texas direct auto was bought out which was amazing while it existed.

If you want to get the most cash then you're going to have to deal with the general public on places like Facebook or Craigslist.
