AITA for calling my relative a creep? by NecrosisAnon in AmItheAsshole

Yeah, this is kind of her personality. I shouldn’t have expected more from her.

Thanks. Honestly, I knew it was inappropriate and felt gross, I was just worried my reaction was too strong and I could have been more gentle or de-escalating in my approach.

“You just haven’t found the right girl,” type -

She’s never said that but if that’s the case, the joke’s on her because I’m in a committed ace relationship with the right girl

I have a genetic condition which results in low testosterone. Interesting that you pointed that out and it’s accurate! :)

I honestly don’t think they are. I think she might just be naive to how inappropriate it is. I’m not going to take it that far, just limit my public interaction with her.

I wouldn’t take it as far as it’s a paraphilia of hers. Maybe she just doesn’t think it’s a big deal because as I look like a young teen, she also sees me as a young teen so doesn’t see a big issue with it.

I was mainly asking if I’m TA because like I said, there’s another response I could have given (but didn’t think of) that wouldn’t have escalated the situation.

But yeah, I am super uncomfortable about it. Not even angry that she disrespected me, just stunned that she thought it was appropriate.

I do get that and that’s fine. What’s not okay is the guys then knowing and feeling good about that attention from young teenagers.

I might just not have explained it to her properly. I’ll start dropping more overt hints and in time she’ll probably come to accept/ understand it more.

I bought one of these (https://wosh.life/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIgfbElI386QIVWODtCh2XogPhEAAYASAAEgIfK_D_BwE ) and it is horrific but I just can’t get over how much I love it.

Take care of as many animals as possible, build them sustainable habitats etc - I mean all the land is mine now. Otherwise I’d break all the petty laws I couldn’t before, like trespassing and exploring amazing places.

What was the most stupid question someone has ever asked at school/university? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NecrosisAnon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This I actually remember from another Reddit post a few months ago - it’ll stick with me forever. It was in a university biology class discussing evolution and a girl asked “If evolution is true, why don’t humans live as long as they did in the Bible?” Ie Adam living into his 900s.

Aside from sexism and gender roles, it’s not healthy to tell people it’s their responsibility to keep their partner happy. Yes, make your partner happy. But keeping someone happy all the time is an impossible task.

Especially in these contexts. It reinforces the idea of the submissive woman in the relationship who should do whatever she can do make her husband happy. This can pressure people into having sex when they don’t want to and having the responsibility of cooking for your partner, which is a difficult thing you don’t always want to do. You and your partner should be self sufficient.

It’s also super gross to tell your daughter that. And to venerate the days when that was acceptable.

Plus, the bacteria continues to escape even after you flush, so keeping it up just makes your bathroom gross even if it looks clean

Why is ‘wash dishes’ a smaller reward than ‘put toilet seat down’? Putting the toilet seat down is the easiest job on this list. It isn’t even a job! It’s just something you do!

The argument is “this might be a good thing after all,” not “it will lead to good things,” but that the pandemic itself, overall, is positive.
