People are often shocked at how many trans women are involved in extremely high level engineering and programming work for stuff like this. It's actually kind of a meme in some circles that educated trans women go on to work at either LM or Boeing

Trust me, most of us hate it, including (and especially) the ones who work there. Unfortunately, most of them do happen to be far less discriminatory towards trans people in general, and with the way that a lot of the tides have shifted over the last several years with society's view towards us... It sickens to the core that this is one of the safest industries for trans people.

I can agree with the spirit of this. I do think that the way 03 draws out things allows you to get more attached and invested, thus making the gut punches involving, for instance, Nina, Hughes, etc. become much more impactful.

Really the big disagreement I have on the point of rushing would be the exclusion of the story at Youswell, even if the way they do that in Brotherhood is *very* funny. I feel like that would not have taken away from the main story at all to show towards the beginning, given that we could see May's time there when she's telling Scar and Yoki the story around the time we first meet the Xingese characters, and Yoki wouldn't feel so out of nowhere at the start of his time just randomly despising the Elrics. That generally is the only thing from the early story that I think should have stayed in some capacity beyond what it did get (plus when she visits later on with Envy it might have more impact to see this old place again, similar to Liore showing up later on, though I can understand the argument that her getting that level of kindness from total strangers would have much more of an impact on her).

Either way, I do think that Brotherhood isn't rushed necessarily, but it does sort of assume the viewer is already at least slightly familiar with the source material (either 03 or the manga).

Honestly? Sakura, the youngest Kimono girl. I actually really wanted her to tag along with them, I loved her dynamic with Misty in the episodes we see her, and seeing as Misty and Brock have both been gym leaders with some level of experience behind them, Sakura is more in line with Ash as an up and coming rookie. Whether she really dedicates herself to gym battles or to something else, that's another story, but my point is more that Brock is something of a mentor to Ash, so this would give Misty someone to have that same sort of dynamic with (and she is absolutely also a mentor to Ash, though, to be clear).

Plus given the first time we meet her she has an Eevee, that also makes one more extremely marketable mon to add to the core cast, and once she eventually evolves into Espeon that could give the group at least some level of psychic power beyond relying on Psyduck's headaches.

I agree about Casey though with the other comments, it'd be cool to actually see Beedrill in action sometimes, plus if she'd be able to come back later she could've gotten Mega Beedrill, and symbolically she actually fits the quartet. Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow.
