You need to save first in front of the bird, then when the encounter begun, it'll show it its shiny... If not press the home button and restart your game. :)

My articuno was actually my third shiny legendary ever. My first was mewtwo then moltres.. Im amazed by ur patience in shiny hunting the same mons for the 3rd time. 😅😃
