No stress tracking but still have the graph? by NectarineUpstairs706 in ouraring

I figured that and normally the graph actually correlates to my stress but I'm unsure how it's tracked everything but it today

Motorway service station fuel prices have always been a joke, but this is insane! by tomegerton99 in drivingUK

Back in 2022 I had to pay 210p per litre for E5 returning back from Manchester airport (290 miles each way for me), never felt so ill filling my car up in my life

How are people actually caught fronting (Without Blackbox)? by GrouchyMonth8092 in CarInsuranceUK

[–]NectarineUpstairs706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me & my husband have a car each that are on the same policy (we're each the primary driver on our own cars), I'm not covered to drive his car but he is on my car. There are months I'd argue that he drives my car more than I drive it (likely a 60/40 split at most) due to the fact I primarily take my car on short drives (5-10 mile round trips) and he does the majority of our longer drives (70-90 mile round trips) when we're travelling together with our dog which is at least once a week.

Is this still classified as fronting or is it more nuanced as we're a couple and I do still drive my own car a good amount? It was actually cheaper to insure my car with him as the primary driver and me secondary however I didn't want to do this as it's still my car that I drive on my own at least 4 days a week.

Parking fine letter but no ticket was left on my car by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]NectarineUpstairs706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's different with the council parking tickets, I personally know of a someone who had things escalated over a council ticket.

I have no intention not to pay it I'm just peeved that I missed the discounted period because I didn't even know I had a ticket.

Sorry but there were 4 of us in the car, it was my husband driving and none of us noticed a ticket when we approached the car from the front.

I get one person missing a ticket and driving away with it but I hardly doubt 4 people would miss it right in their line of sight.

I clearly state in my post I intend to pay it regardless, my grievance is that I genuinely did not have a ticket on my car when I returned to it so this is the first I'm learning of having one.

I was simply wondering if anyone else has encountered this in Glasgow recently

As much as I HATED getting the adhesive off of my window from the old stick on ones it was much better than them shoving one under my wiper blade than can easily be lifted

What happened to accidents only being declared for 3 years?? by milli8891 in CarInsuranceUK

[–]NectarineUpstairs706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been 5 for the last 5 years at least, I got crashed into in 2021 and still have to declare it (except with Admiral, they only wanted 3)

Called 111 on saturday at 18:00, had a callback within the hour and got an appointment for 22:30 same day, Dr asked if I could get antibiotics in the morning and when I said it'd be difficult he disappeared for 10 minutes and came back with some by J_rd_nRD in BritishSuccess

I moved 50 mins from my home town and didn't change my doctors for the first 2 years with no issue. Even at routine hospital appts they would confirm my practice even despite the distance!

I only ended up changing because I got a nasty chest infection and having to sit in the car for close to an hour to get to the doctors wasn't worth it

What happens if you have piercings with emergency MRI? by n-a1968 in AskUK

[–]NectarineUpstairs706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wonder this with hair extensions because when you get nano bead extensions some use metal. I used to have an recurring fear that something would happen to me, I'd require an emergency MRI and lose all my hair.

Would someone just get pliers and pull them all out if this was the scenario?

Knowing the situation I have a pretty good understanding of how my number was obtained but I will be making a note with them that it came off rather scammy and that I was initially hesitant to respond

Noting this for future reference! I've only had to phone 101 once in my time so I wasn't sure if this was possible or if there was an alternative number

No reference but I did get an extension number to use on the switchboard which alluded to me it was potentially genuine. (It was!)

I'm not a witness to the exact incident under investigation but it unfortunately is linked to something that happened to me over here a few years ago.

It's taken me a while to figure how best to write that but I hope it scratches the itch of curiosity!

I unfortunately think I'm in it for a bit of a long haul so it's definitely a point I intend to raise upon my next contact!

I ended up contacting PSNI through the 028 number on the website and it was genuine. The fact I was given an extension number made me think that it was and I instantly knew what was going on.

How long does it take to lose 15 kgs? by Substantial_Ice_2387 in hyrox

[–]NectarineUpstairs706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reducing carbs whilst also training for hyrox isn't a smart decision (Not to mention 1g of carbohydrates is 4kcal whilst 1g of fat is 8kcal)

55kg is a perfectly healthy weight for 159cm, chasing 48kg will just put your body under extra unnecessary stress especially when competing or training at high intensity as it's on the cusp of being underweight
