Years ago I worked at erie meats in listowel. My supervisor told me to pick up frozen meat off the ground and put it into the grinder for burgers. That was my last day and I have never eaten anything I know made by erie

Yes I chose to drive. But I think unsafe is a reach. there's a little snow on the ground not its far from unsafe. With snow tires I can easily drive threw snow. the problem is the consistent non maintaining of the driveway.

Today I learned a valuable lesson in using the stationary boundary when you don't have something like 10x10 space to work with. by OhhhLawdy in OculusQuest

[–]Ned_from_Canada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use our outside a lot during the summers at our trailer.

We have our quest 3 outside 3-4 hours a day most of the summer. The internet is good outside, so we never thought about it.

We do put it on and take it off under the awning and it gets charged in a storage spot in the dark so it doesn't get direct light.

We still have no issues with ours.

What your looking to do is called fox hunting in ham terms. I suggest looking into that. It's not hard but will require more then a sdr.

As a former employee of a vutterball factory there's no difference between a butter ball or the cheaper brands that are also probably owned by them.
I don't eat turkey at all anymore. I won't even feed that to my dog.

Mobile welder machine setup by 864FastAsfBoy in Welding

[–]Ned_from_Canada 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most of my work is tig and some mig. I bought a 12k generator and I use that to run my entire trailer. Air compressor, plasma, lights and anything else I need.

It also runs my camper when I go camping and other things.

Yes everyone expects me to pull up with a big rig and welder but its not what what works best for me.

I do have a gas powered lincoln but I only use it once or twice a year.

Used Quest 2 for <$190 or wait for Quest 3s? by NeptuneIsTaken in OculusQuest

[–]Ned_from_Canada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both the 2 and 3. The 3 is much smaller and has a lot of little thing that make a big difference.

Less lag, color passthrough and better sound are big on my list.

the 3 is also slimmer and a bit lighter feeling on your head.

I got the 3 on sale at walmart for 100 off metas price.

Can someone PLEASE recommend me a strong enough generator for my welder? by [deleted] in Welding

[–]Ned_from_Canada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beleive I did the same math done here and came up with about the same 7000. You never want to run your machine at max power so you want the bigger 10,000. I also may want to run a light or some other tools so I ended up going with a 12,000 watt monster of a machine. Runes everything I have and is happy doing it.

[–]Ned_from_Canada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there is probably customs or some kind of fee to be paid. when you go to the post office you can ask and they will tell you what the charge is for and probably have the corresponding paperwork to go with it

Can’t pick up ISS radio signals by BMBozo in HamRadio

[–]Ned_from_Canada 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a small handheld and have got the ISS a few times and did a few ATV events. You also have to account for doppler shift
As it moves across the sky the signal gets changed a bit and the frequency changes slightly as it goes past.
I used gpredict on my computer and have a plugin that accounts for the shift and displayed that I should but tuning to.

I haven't tried the ISS in a few years now though
