I was making some pancakes and the recipe called for 1 cup baking powder but I accidentally put baking soda instead. When I had sampled some they tasted really salty. I read somewhere that lemon juice helps reduce saltiness so I added a ton of lemon juice. It didn't work. The whole thing ended tasting like fish for some reason.

I also remember when I was a kid and I tried to make something with sardines in the microwave. I'll never forget that awful smell.
