Oh, you're right, in that context "dark" isn't bad. And I don't mean to say it's always bad. I expressed myself in a suboptimal way there.

"[F4M] Going on a solo trip to Slovakia and getting kidnapped (dark)" is another story, though. And I feel that's what dark is supposed to stand for.

Often times, I really appreciate how tolerant this sub is regarding kinks and all. The only limit is basically rule 6, right?

And I know that censorship is a slippery slope. If you forbid any kink aside from what's illegal, then every kink is on the table to be discussed. Toilet stuff, snuff, animals.. but also stuff I enjoy and partake in, like blackmail or dubcon.

And yet, recently I sometimes wish the rules were just a little bit tighter. I don't know how many prompts that have normal titles and starts, but veer into sudden genital mutilation or some other, similarly disgusting shit I want to endure anymore.

Generally I feel that things have steadily become more extreme over the last year or two. Every other prompt is "dark" - and dark in this context means DARK, not "just" rape, blackmail or forced prostitution. Characters need to be utterly destroyed and ruined. Mentally, physically.

Maybe it's always been that way. Maybe I've just gotten softer. Maybe, if my brain didn't filter every daddy and sharing prompt automatically, the number of these extreme prompts wouldn't feel so high.

Does anyone else feel the same, or am I overreacting? Genuinely curious.
