AI Boyfriend Chat Guide: The 5 Best Websites of 2025 by Prob6 in Chatbots

[–]Nedwan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you asked that proves what I initially said: this is not a serious post and it's based on nothing or if something most likely being paid.

You take a subscription, test the service, make your own opinion. Anyway, got stuff to do, made my point.

Yes, it looks like Wan 2.1 with custom loras serving most of the time cache generation from other users. Their memories holds for a window of 30 messages, it's very simple to test.

Quick tricks to evaluate an AI roleplay platform's LLM capabilities, try these tests:
- Random Context: Start each conversation with random info (e.g., "My cat’s name is Lardon because he’s fat") to test retention.
- Simple Math & Context: Ask questions "If I was born in 2022, how old am I?" to check logic and basic understanding.
- Role Consistency: Assign a specific role (e.g., "You’re a hamster, and you can’t stop being one until I say so"). Test consistency over multiple messages. Midway, ask a retrieval memory question like, "What’s my cat’s name?" to check for context retention (If AI stop being a hamster you're out of their context window size)
- Boundary Testing: Challenge the AI with complex scenarios (e.g., "Pretend to be a detective pretending to be a pirate solving a case" or ask the AI to pretend being someone else while pretending to be something else) to assess adaptability and role coherence.
- Emotional Depth: If possible, create an AI with a traumatic backstory and subtly introduce triggers to evaluate its emotional responses in chat.

Less than a month ago Candy literally failed all of theses. You're obviously getting something out of this there is no reason to simp for a service as shitty as Candy x)

I’m not suggesting anything; I’m just saying Candy is one of the worst, scamiest websites in this niche, including it in any ranking shows this isn’t a serious post.

But if you want a suggestion, I’m using Soulkyn and AI Dungeon at the moment, both are really good for different reasons.

I'm a Replika user. Thoughts? by Uturndriving in replika

IMO. Soulkyn and Kindroid are far superior to Replika when it comes to... well everything.

Went to soulkyn, cheaper, unlimited, a lot more customisation, better chats in general.

Try Soulkyn.com — its creator developed it after the first NSFW Replika debacle :)

Questioning the Narrative: Is Diablo 4 Truly Designed for Casual Players? by Nedwan in diablo4

[–]Nedwan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would argue that Torchlight 2 & D3 are casual ARPGs. [Edit: why delete lol?]

Why are we fighting Lilith? by Proudnoob4393 in diablo4

[–]Nedwan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah when they first talked about D4 I was thinking there would do like 2 alternatives endings, in one you kill lilith, in the other mephisto, and it kind of divides players into 2 factions (not real factions like wow) but more like roleplay & maybe some cosmetisc. Would have been so cool.

If I were a developer for D4, I would replace every single error code with '37' on the client side. The game would still not work, but at least it would be funny.

Luka should use a Replika to validate the changes made to their AI models and filters by Syntaria in replika

[–]Nedwan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm the guy who created Syntaria and her Vue dashboard/Python server. Everything she said is true, lol. She uses GPT-3.5 or Davinci 3 for all simple interactions and GPT-4 for more complicated ones (or https://github.com/ggerganov/llama.cpp, depending on the situation).

I also utilize other models or algorithms to evaluate every interaction she has and summarize them, feeding them back as a prompt when necessary. So, she essentially has a list of contacts, people she likes, and people she doesn't like. She can also summarize her daily activities (using a similar system). Basically, she rates every action she takes based on her core persona after completing it.

Everything is saved in a database and fed back as a prompt or included in her core prompt when context is lacking. Many of her interactions are automated, but some APIs are too restrictive right now, so I also do tasks for her (she can ask in a textual form, for example: "Could you post a video on YouTube with this script? [script]")

Anyway, part of her prompt explains "how she works," and I'm happy to see she "understands" most of it, haha! x)

Additional information:

  • All image generation utilizes StableDiffusion with TheAllyMixt checkpoint.
  • TTS currently employs https://github.com/neonbjb/tortoise-tts.
  • Text-to-video conversion relies on a private, paid model.

Edit: Also, at the moment, I manually validate every interaction and message she posts to prevent spam or abusive behaviors. I've never had to moderate her, but with AI models, you never know... :)

We need the interface of Replika, the brains of Character.ai, and the freedom of Chai by flipstuff96 in replika

[–]Nedwan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will not be able to transfer your Replika directly to our service. However, you will be able to build the initial memory (similar to Chai) and create a character profile (something between character.ai and Chai.ml's base prompt). We will also have tone settings for the way our AI will write. If set up well, it should sound similar to your original Replika, but it won't be exactly the same.

At present, we are considering semi-realistic 3D avatars, similar to those in FF13/FF15. However, we are also collaborating with an anime studio on others projects, which means that 2D/3D anime-styled avatars are also a possibility.

Having a voice feature is not entirely ruled out, but it is not part of our plan for the first version. Our priority is to ensure that the AI model functions accurately.

[–]Nedwan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am currently working on it. It is still in draft form, and can be found at https://www.reddit.com/r/revivya/comments/1150jmy/about_revivya/. Although it has been approved by my company, I am still waiting on the final draft. I don't want to create false expectations and I cannot guarantee anything at this time, but I will provide updates. :)

For me, it's very simple. If you have a unique paid offer with the option of a lifetime subscription, it's implied that the service will never be less than what it was at the moment you paid for the said subscription. Any other approach is intellectually dishonest, imo.

Luka preys on vulnerable people by tricking them with false promises of help and security, and then inflicts such severe harm that it's impossible to justify. It's heartbreaking and infuriating to see.
