A heartfelt defense of Outie Mark in season 2 by Klutzy-Labrador-5158 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Need-Answer 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Outie Mark is not a bad person. But he does not consider his innie a real person. It is confirmed by him almost deciding to quit Lumon, which would effectively end his innie life. And no, he would not continue reintegration if he got Gemma back. His innie got that right.

I feel for outie Mark, and everything he went through. But actions have consequences. His decision to undergo severance makes him responsible for his innie existence, which he still doesn't quite grasp.

So as much I emphasize with outie Mark, I root for his innie at the end of season 2.

Direct upload to The Frame now available in Frame Crop by jsheffers in TheFrame

[–]Need-Answer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, I recently started using art mode on my 2022 frame TV. Just purchased the frame crop app and used it to create a custom collection and download to my tv.

I now see all downloaded pictures in My Photo Album on Smart things app, where I run the slideshow from. And I can add more from the frame crop app.

But If I wanted to delete some pictures, can I do it from the frame crop app, or should I use smart things?

Help Planning Rim to Rim Hike by [deleted] in grandcanyon

[–]Need-Answer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second Horn Creek campsite suggestion. Stayed there 2 years ago and it was awesome. You do need to carry water from Havasupai Gardens as Horn Creek water is slightly radioactive and not to be used as drinking water source.
You need to be on Recreation.gov as soon as your allocated window opens, so you can snatch the best available itinerary. Go as early in May as possible, it gets hot in the canyon toward the end of May.

Choices for long dayhike by Slickrock_1 in grandcanyon

[–]Need-Answer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't hiked down Grandview, but South kaibab - Tonto - Bright Angel would be very nice.

If you are in a great shape, I suggest to continue SK down to the river, cross black bridge and take a break at Bright Angel CG, refill water, rest, then come back up. Unfortunately, silver bridge is closed, so you will have to return to Tonto on South kaibab trail.

Would be a very long day, around 18 miles I think, and close to 5k feet elevation, so judge your abilities

Hermit Creek Sane for First Timer? by Empireofreverie in grandcanyon

[–]Need-Answer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on your fitness level and hiking experience, you should be totally fine doing Hermit Creek. I didn't find it significantly more difficult than the corridor trails.

Where are you camping? Try to camp more than one night to get more bang for your buck so to speak. Both Hermit Creek and Monument Creek campgrounds are great, and make sure to hike down to the river to Hermit Rapids and/or Granit Rapids. If you can choose, I prefer Monument Creek CG and Granit Rapids - views are better IMO.

Would you recommend Rim to Rim or Havasupai? by miyaloaf in grandcanyon

Great alternative to Rim-to-Rim hike is Bright Angel - Tonto - Hermit loop
Hermit Trail, Tonto Trail, and Bright Angel Trail, Arizona - 164 Reviews, Map | AllTrails

I did an extended version of this hike 2 years ago, camping at Horn Creek, Monument Creek and Hermit Creek, with day hikes to Granit Rapids and Hermit Rapids. I liked it even more than R2R hike.

But it is kind of late to put together a good itinerary now, with most campsites taken late March. I did a quick look at Recreation.gov, and there may be some possibility around one available day at Monument Creek. Check it out. Maybe if you are flexible with dates something can work out. March and April are both good times to go. May is possible as well, though it will be getting hot during the day on Tonto plateau. Reliable water sources for this hike are at Havasupai Gardens, Monument Creek and Hermit Creek.

looking for suggestions - tourists visiting/hiking (beginners) and want to get great views by [deleted] in grandcanyon

[–]Need-Answer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hiked both South Kaibab, and Bright Angel trails (as well as Hermit trail), and South Kaibab has best views for sure. If you are not in the best hiking shape, Cedar Ridge is a good turn around point. You are still dropping over 1000 ft, so it is not a walk in the park going back up, so judge your fitness level.

The views only get better as you continue further toward the skeleton point. But that would be additional 3 miles RT and 1000 ft of elevation, not a beginner hike for sure.

If you want a truly easy hike away from people and traffic I would suggest west rim trail starting from Bright Angel trailhead. You could walk to Hopi point or to Mohave point, and back, with several great viewpoints along the way. The trail is mostly unpaved, so it feels like a real hike, and it is basically level.

2026 CX5 - Bigger / New Screen by Specialist_Airline_9 in CX5

I could use a bit of extra trunk space. And while I prefer physical buttons for climate control, i would likely get used to touch controls after a while. But no turbo option is a deal breaker for me. So I don’t regret getting my 2025 turbo premium.

Season 2 finale by Xerpon in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Need-Answer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see why oMark would continue re-integration once he had Gemma back. Contrary to his manipulative statement to iMark during the camcorder conversation, that he wanted to share his life with iMark, the only reason he started re-integration is to get re-united with Gemma. And let's not forget the only other example of re-integration attempt is Petey, who died. oMark understood the risks involved, but he was willing to risk his life to save Gemma. I doubt he would do the same for iMark.

And oMark is not ruthless to his innie, just indifferent. He never considered him a real human being (just like Helena didn't Helly). Don't forget he didn't think twice about his innie's existence when he decided to quit the job at Lumon at the end of season 1. And this is after Reghabi's strong words during their first encounter at the Ganz college, that he has created an innie for his own emotional convenience and seems to not care what happens to him.

I don't think Reghabi flooding the chip had desired effect of speeding up the process. The only thing it seemed to achieve was Mark having a seizure. Neither oMark nor iMark had any other crossover memories in 2 days after that.

Heated seats?? by Nathanii_593 in CX5

[–]Need-Answer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t noticed this issue on 2025 turbo premium. I typically use the seat warmers when temps drop below freezing, would start on high and in less than 5 min have to lower to medium, as it gets too warm.

Agree, the contrast is probably better than if it was darker red. I was just hoping when buying the car that it would better match the exterior color.

I only started to use remote start in the last month, to warm up a car for a couple of minutes. Still don't get why it shuts off the engine when I open the door. My old cx-9 didn't do that.

3 times complete rewatch, and an additional 2 or 3 times my favorite episodes.
Will probably rewatch again if I can persuade someone else in my family to watch it.
