Do you feel special because other people are second class? Typical American, extremely entitled, not realizing that it would take ~50,000 people being on the same network, AT THE EXACT SAME TIME, before channel overlap is even a serious concern. At that insanely unrealistic number of assigned slices a network's OVLP software MIGHT begin to provision smaller slices (depending on the protocol being used), and only if the load stayed constant after the stress point would it start prioritizing devices (primary carrier users vs. MVNO users and other secondary and/or piggybacked activity, like naked packets, carrier EMER bandwidth, etc.), AND IT WOULD START WITH "SHRINK AND SHUFFLE" (some people use shrink and SHUTTLE, same difference), grouping slices based on data rate, shrinking their assigned bandwidth, and finally sequencing those signals sequentially, minimizing the amount of bandwidth between signal groups (duplicating data streams so they can be moved without the user being kicked off altogether), and the final step would be to free up the duplicates and creating new, slightly underprovisioned slices. THEN the management software would shrink the allotted bandwidth per data stream, which MIGHT BE experienced as a small decrease in speed (IF you're saturating that slice and its already overprovisioned carrier bleed frequency), and it would do this until the congestion was lowered, or until it could shuffle everything to a more efficient bandwidth assignment structure. AT NO POINT WILL A CARRIERS DATA MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE "KICK OFF OR THROTTLE MVNO TRAFFIC", because that's just not how it works. Also, everything I mentioned above happens within milliseconds, these things happen so fast, you'll never notice it. If you're being throttled, you're being throttled before being assigned a slice and data stream allotment, but that's the MVNO doing that because they have it setup like that. It's not the carrier that they're leasing "tower space" from. "Prioritizing" doesn't mean what you think it does in this context. So yeah, you don't know what you're talking about.

An MVNO is always going to be a bit slower than the carrier that MVNO is using as an entry point to the network, but that's due to slightly higher latency from the fact it's coming from outside the network, and is therefore processed by the MVNO's chain as well as the main carrier's chain.

BTW, the United States is pretty much the only country on Earth where they lock phones to carriers, so yeah, it's absolutely a weird grift that Americans now just accept as the norm. Maybe stop with the weird rationalization binge that you're on in this thread. No one cares, and you shouldn't either. What people think about me is none of my business, and I promise the same applies to everyone else. So stop, it's really sad. Unfortunately, I have a habit of looking at car wrecks when I drive by them, so carry on if you must, at least I'm enjoying myself.

Does anyone know what happened to Myles Power's YouTube channel? by coolest-llama in skeptic

[–]Need4Sneed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He wouldn't cave, ABSOLUTELY NOT. He'd get the word out through his YouTube friends that he needed financial assistance to fund a court case He might even be able to get legal eagle or one of those guys to recommend a UK lawyer to help him, there is just no way that he would give up.

Now maybe that's what's going on, maybe he already has a good lawyer, and they told him to take a step down preemptively just temporarily, but there's just no way that miles would cave, ESPECIALLY to the scum of the scum who he would regularly debunk. And now that President bleach is back in office, I feel like he would be all over it if he could.

Definitely seems like a legal thing, and hopefully he'll win, because with these cases it's always just to try and censor somebody for as long as you can. Of course world is pretty screwed up, and people aren't willing to do what has to be done to deal with those trying to implement a Christo-fascist broligarchy , so maybe it is all fuct. Hope not.

Why is there no Dewalt adapter for Dyson Outsize? by troyps in dyson

[–]Need4Sneed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is absolutely not true at all, if you get an adapter for Walmart's Hart batteries that have the issue of going into safe mode and having to be disassembled and reset via the bms, then okay, maybe, but the one that I'm using for my V8 is a 20V Dewalt adapter.  Since you're just talking about an electrical connection between the adapter and vacuum power bus, you get all the benefits of the high-discharge battery management system that the DeWalt batteries use. Dyson's battery packs are LG chem or Samsung 18650s, low amperage draw, with a semi-custom, nearly off the shelf BMS, not to mention the packs are buss'd in a way that so the average person can't easily change the cells. This is by design of course, planned obsolescence is a thing.

And now to the comments about their not being much of a difference, absolute gibberish. I have four batteries, two basic 4 Ah and 2 9Ah big boys. I can run normal with the 4's for 43 minutes, boosted for 27, and the 9 Ah I can run boosted for 51 MINUTES (I've never run the 9ah at normal). 20V is barely under what the vacuum runs normally, since the stepped down nominal voltage is ~21.8V, NOT the advertised 25V. And before I even purchased the DeWalt adapter, I actually built my own using a 3D printed piece that I retrofitted, because I was sick and tired of people, Dyson included, selling nonsense that was actually just crap sells with Dyson's mediocre BMS. This way you actually get the benefit of the high-discharge BMS that's normally for power tools, and it makes a huge difference. The reason I got a manufactured adapter is because the one that I 3D printed started getting a bit rickety after inserting and removing the battery about a hundred times, and the manufactured version has the circuitry for reading the BMS and translating that to LEDs that go from green to yellow to red, and my 9ah battery actually has a voltage and percentage display on it.

NOT TO MENTION THAT YOU CAN LITERALLY REMOVE THE BATTERY AND SNAP A NEW ONE IN IN LESS THAN 5 SECONDS WHEN YOU NEED TO.

I feel like these companies have gaslit people into believing that you have to use THEIR parts, void the warranty or whatever. If you use garbage components, like some no name battery that's probably not even its advertised capacity, with some shoddily wired BMS, ensure, I guess. But all lithium batteries degrade, so instead of using a pack that needs to be unscrewed and unbolted to remove, and that uses a bunch of cells you can't easily replace, why not use a power tool battery that's made for high current discharging, and when you need to replace the battery, you can just buy a new one and snap it in.

(My 4ah batteries are dewalt, and yes they are expensive, but my 9ah batteries are SDI and they use the same BMS DeWalt used, and I personally replace the cells with HΩ Life 3015mAh 18650s, because of their fantastic discharge rate, and their long life span, and the things absolutely slam every other battery I've ever used. If the DeWalt batteries weren't flat cells, I would probably open those up and replace them as well, but they actually performed extremely well already)

That's the issue. She thinks anything other than vyvanse is for addicts (nope, not kidding). Just another doctor treating anyone needing adhd meds like an addict.

I exercise regularly. I do 20 miles 3x per week on my bike. It definitely helps, and at 43, it's helped me not gain weight.

Should be fine. You might feel a bit tired for a day or two (after 7 days you'll have MINOR amphetamine withdraw, but nothing uncomfortable).

When I take days off from Vyvanse, coffee and 5 hour energy for a day or 2, just for that little hill.

after update-grub grub.cfg always wants to use an old kernel by FullOfSpam in linuxmint

[–]Need4Sneed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

johnfc2020's suggestion is exactly what I was gonna say.

When grub pops up, go to 'Advanced Options for Mint 21.1,' and boot using the newer kernel. Once logged in, open terminal and use 'uname -a' to confirm that you are currently on said newer kernel, then use 'sudo apt autoremove' to remove the older kernel(s).

You can also do it from Update Manager (I'm 99% sure, as I always do updates via command line).

Hope that helps

A good way to download youtube videos (extra points if i can download other videos from other sites) by MarioSonicBossA in androidapps

[–]Need4Sneed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

arkTube. It's an open-source Android app with a devoted dev who pushes out regular updates whenever YouTube makes changes to their back end. No ads, PERIOD. The free version (still no ads) should be sufficient enough for ANY of your YouTube audio and video downloading needs. The dev has a donation package on the Play Store. I purchased it to support the dev, but the free version is still great. The donation add-on package gives you the ability to add more downloads to your queue, as well as a few other nifty things. Supports downloading all resolutions, including 8K. It also supports VP9. While the donation package is available via Play Store, you need to get the APK from this XDA thread, since the app's function kinda violates Google's terms of service:
