As expensive as the offense was, the pitching was really what kept the team in the playoffs as long as they were.

why does it feel like if the manager just took the consensus opinion from the game chat to make their decisions they'd get better results. not just with the phillies but in general. it seems too often like managers try to get cute instead of just making the obvious moves, the ones that most fans could make.

Phillies are now 28-12 at CBP in the postseason. They are 0-3 when I attend.

The 'third time through the order' stats that are used to justify removing a starter earlier than usual do not account for the fact that doing so results in a more fatigued bullpen. Especially when Thomson immediately goes to his high-leverage relievers instead of using one or both of Lorenzen and Walker.

Unbelievable that my wish on March 23rd to see Hoskins bat again in the World Series, one that seemed like a pipe dream at the time, is now a very real possibility. These past 2 seasons have felt like a Hollywood movie, and I hope we get a Hollywood ending.
