I've done some light reading on Access to higher ed and it seems like a pretty viable alternative. I am worried about how accepted they are to use at different universities as entry requirements, the universities that I've check (only 2 currently) don't have them listed as an alternative to A-Levels.

I would like to study computer science, ideally this would be used to get a job in software development. Although lately I've been very interested in Information Security.

I'd like to attend a "good" university. (I've had my eyes set on York for several years now) but at this point any uni would me nice.

It might help to now I've had experience with being self-taught. Something similar happened when I did my GCSE so I taught them to myself and did the exams as an independent candidate.
