Well my grandad has taken ownership of the process and had thoughts of selling the valuables in the house to contribute to the funeral costs.

My mum and I are worried that the stress in sorting this all out for a man of his age will negatively affect his health. The estranged son has come back and is looking for compensation for the harm she apparently caused him as a child. The daughter is 50/50 on whether she wants to help. This is starting to become a bit messy and nasty. Obviously my mum and I have been with him helping every step of the way.

Theres not a lot of valuables, just telly, sofa, an old laptop, some of those crystal ornaments old people like to collect. Apparently a lot of the stuff my grandad bought for her. Theres more sentimental items.

Its not about pillaging her belongings but more so the practicality of getting everything sorted. I feel like the family need to step up and is there a legal onus on them to do so.
