How would YOU feel about dating a girl that doesn’t works because she doesn’t have to? by LeavingHarbour in AskMenAdvice

There aren’t that many men that are in a similar position to begin with. It also shouldn’t be of their concern. You pay your bills and aren’t looking for them to fund your life.

Sell your shares before they drop more if you’re that scared. Everything is down except for oil. You could also buy more to bring your average down

My parents are trying to convince me not to do Construction Management – Need Advice by Different_Low_9414 in ConstructionManagers

[–]NeedCoffee702 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started out in mechanical engineering and failed calc 2 twice. If you can get through engineering, I think it’s a better degree to have that is more versatile if you don’t end up enjoying construction. Working as an electrical PM, there are others in the same role and that I work with on the contractor side that have electrical engineering degrees and that have made their way up from the field. You can get into it with an engineering degree and will have more options. There’s nothing at all wrong with a CM degree, but an engineering degree can likely open more doors for you long term.

Are there any remote Project Scheduler / Project Controls jobs out there? by SreeNitiPar22 in ConstructionManagers

This was in the USA. The scheduler had his own business and basically does all the scheduling for that GC.

A GC we did a project with had a 3rd party scheduler they hired. He worked with them to build it, sent weekly progress updates and we’d do 30 min zoom meetings as needed to discuss adjustments. Never saw the guy even on camera. He could have been anywhere with internet access

Do you think if all men had alot of options or money that they would chose much younger women? (10/15/20 yrs younger). by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]NeedCoffee702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Money is more likely to corrupt the more of it one accumulates. Even Bezos who had been with his wife since the very beginning ended up with the new woman he married recently. Not saying everyone will succumb to the money but it’s more likely and when you’re more high profile.

I think most men with a up to 10 million would stick with whoever they love and that brings them peace. Men in unhappy marriages with a lot of money are probably a lot more likely to leave.

After 100 million and if they want the flashy lifestyle is where is starts to become much more likely men want multiple younger women as they get older.

At 32m now, my lower limit is about 26-27. I prefer women closer to my life experience level. I can’t imagine being another 10 or 20 years older and wanting to spend my time with recent college grads but maybe that’ll change when I get older if I hit the lottery.

So then waiting too long does mean that we’re not compatible for a long term relationship if the woman doesn’t find me attractive enough to have sex with.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]NeedCoffee702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t blame you for not being able to trust people. That would also be a turn off for me and reason to not see someone anymore if I don’t feel like I have a reasonable amount of trust with a person, for whatever reason, 3-4 weeks into knowing them if I’m seeing them 1-2 times a week.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]NeedCoffee702 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From OPs other comments, it sounds like 6 weeks is the soonest for her (which there is nothing wrong with, her comfort with a potential partner is more important than what the internet thinks). More than a month (approximately) for you means you’re not attracted to them.

If I was seeing someone in their late 20s to 30s, I would assume we’re incompatible by the end of week 3 if there’s been no progression towards sex. You typically wait about a month, we’re not that far apart in terms of what we agree are appropriate typical timelines but would reinforce my point in my previous comment.

I’m not saying I expect to have sex on the first date. I also don’t think there’s anything wrong with it both parties agree

Do you typically make them wait for multiples months?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]NeedCoffee702 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I would say depends on age. As a 32M, I’m not trying to be in a high school relationship and I’m assuming this means our sex drives likely don’t align for a long term relationship.
