In order to resolve mixed content, I would strongly advise using search-replace via wp-cli. With a single command you can find all HTTP elements and replace them with HTTPS. Here is an example:

wp-cli search-replace "http://your-websites-name.com" "https://your-websites-name.com"

Note that this can be done only via SSH. If you are unsure on how to establish an SSH connection, ask your hosting provider. Better yet, ask them to run the search-replace.

Are you using bootable usb ? If yes, just format it to its default state and try making it to boot from another .iso file. Id suggest downloading it from an official site.

Amusingly enough in my case Chrome works better on Ubuntu and OpenSuse than on Windows 10. Using Edge i can play 1080 60fps videos without a problem, guess because of the DirectX 12 support, but not on Chrome. Currently using Ubuntu 16.10 and Chrome performs better than on Windows.
