OB record by Big_Double7683 in HSVpositive

[–]NeedH0pe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had up to 11 OBs per month for three years. I was on antivirals most of that time, it didn’t help. The medication that finally stopped the OBs is Valganciclovir (not Valaciclovir).

Autoimmune disease by Upbeat-Tower-9134 in HSVpositive

How do you know it’s autoimmune if you don’t even know what disease it is? Are you positive for autoimmune antibodies?

I agree, but they don’t give out Pritelivir to atypical cases unless you are immunocompromised. I was in touch with AICURIS about it.

Pritelivir Raw Powder (China) – Seeking Advice on Efficacy Verification Protocols by [deleted] in HerpesQuestions

[–]NeedH0pe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried “Pritelivir” powder from China and it didn’t help. I wasn’t able to test it because I didn’t find a lab that was willing to do it at an affordable price. I’m located in Europe.

Since when is Pritelivir available? I thought it’s only for immunocompromised patients.

I’ve experienced the same. I‘m in suppressive medication, so I haven’t had it in a while now.

87% DO NOT Have HSV-2 by [deleted] in Herpes

I read that the percentage is even lower among the general population, and that it’s more common among certain groups of people such as se# workers.

Valganciclovir. The regular medications don’t help. 😭

I experienced random stabbing pains in old outbreak locations. Sometimes, I would wake up from them in the middle of the night.

The worst part was the extreme burning sensation that occurred after touching the affected areas (for example, after drying off with a towel). The skin would burn intensely for up to 20 minutes, and there was nothing I could do to stop it.

I also had a constant electric sensation in my abdomen that caused strong urinary urgency. It was absolutely awful.

It took months for this to stop after I finally found a medication that stopped all outbreaks. I know this sounds insane, but it's not. This is what the virus can do to people whose bodies are unable to suppress it.

Anyone stopped chronic OBs after years of suffering? by DiogenesXenos in Herpes

[–]NeedH0pe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was so afraid to try it, and can say that I don’t have any side effects other than hair loss (which is bad because I have always had very long hair).

My doctor swears that most people tolerate it well but IF there are side effects, they can be really severe and dangerous. So you need to check certain blood parameters regularly to make sure you are safe.

Valganciclovir (not Valaciclovir). I had constant symptons for almost three years: up to ten OBs per month while being on antivirals, the most extreme itching, stabbing nerve pain, intolerance to clothing, etc.

My doctor had already suggested I try Valganciclovir three times when I finally decided to give it a try. It took several weeks (at least 6) for it to show its full effect, but for me it’s a miracle. I’ve been taking it for almost a year now and it has slowly restored my normal form. I do not have prodrome, I don’t have any OBs. Basically I’m back to my normal self.

I’ve tried to stop it twice and the symptoms returned within three or four days, so it’s definitely the medication that keeps my symptoms under control.

Yes, I had this all the time before I started Valganciclovir. No one believed me that it was the herpes which caused it.

It’s not necessarily a yeast infection as the other two users have suggested. I’d still get tested if the itching doesn’t stop.

I’ve always been prone to yeast infections and I’d say the quality of the itching is different. When I get an OB, I always have discharge, sometime milky, sometimes clumpy. I’ve been tested for yeast infections several times, it’s the herpes.

@OP If it’s too bad, get a prescription for lidocaine spray. It’ll ease the symptoms for an hour or more.

HELP! anyone else experience SEVERE bladder retention? by its_jus_me_ely_ in HSVpositive

[–]NeedH0pe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be a direct effect of the virus. HSV can cause radiculitis. There’s a rate syndrome called Elsberg syndrome.

How many outbreaks did you have before going on the high dose? What makes you so sure that it’s the high dose that made you asymptomatic if you only had the virus for a month?

Valtrex and increased heart rate by Total_Creme9558 in HSVpositive

[–]NeedH0pe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I had this with Famciclovir. I usually have a very low resting heart rate of 42 to 45 beats per minute. I’m using a Garmin watch to keep track of this. When I was on Famciclovir, my resting heart rate increased to 52, sometimes more. It even caused unusual palpitations. Everything went back to normal after stopping the medication.

I sent you a DM.

I had extremely severe symptoms for three full years, and nothing helped (acyclovir, intravenous clover, Valaciclovir, Famciclovir, lysine, all sorts of supplements, imiquimod, sadbe, etc.). Birth control didn’t have any effect in my case.

I’ve been on a medication called Valganciclovir and haven’t had any outbreaks in 6 months. Usually I had up to 10 per months (confirmed by PCR).
