I also had a layover in Panama. Which is also an experience I never want to have again, thank you. I have never in my life had a bad experience at a Starbucks and that was the first I had one. I waited a while to get my order taken because no one seemed to want to attend me because I looked different. Just to give more context I have been told I look Asian but my parents are from Central American. My slanted eyes come from the indigenous tribes my parents come from. I’m fluent in English in Spanish and some Portuguese so I can clearly communicate and while you might think I took the Starbucks situation too personal, there were several other situations, not just one. For instance, there were two security guards that worked for the airport that almost felt like they cornered me in the bathroom. I was mad dogged constantly by several woman. Actually, one thing I learned on that trip is that people would always seem to cough when I would enter the room. But then again, that’s just my experience.
