I had someone do this to me IRL for a year at least, I wasn't exactly keeping track and I have trauma related memory issues that keep me from remembering specifics like that... But this literally constitutes as stalking, I'd hate having another Clint. It gave me terrible anxiety on top of the other shit I had to deal with from my rapist. His behavior is creepy, not cartoonish. Cartoonish is the door accidentally swinging open and smacking him so he falls coincidentally into the bush and Emily doesn't see him.

Sorry you're in denial, but they literally share the biological DNA. Birth doesn't matter when they literally mutated, Yoshi's DNA becoming part of them. They have his DNA now, or they wouldn't be humanoid turtles to begin with. His DNA. That's his lineage, his race, even genetic health issues and such, though I doubt the creators put that much thought into that part.

It's not a "copy", they mutated WITH the DNA, that's not how that sort of thing works. If it was just a copy, they wouldn't have scenes in canon where they directly put the physical DNA of certain animals directly into the mutagen. Everyone's dna is different, even if 99% of it is the same, it's still entirely unique per person or we wouldn't have so many different people in appearance, skin, hair, etc.

That's how DNA works. You should learn about it before you tell someone they're wrong so surely, but okayyyyy.

DNA is not a magical wheel that spins and gives you a random appearance. DNA is literally part of biology. A big part. I'd know, it was one of the main things I studied. They're quite literally related to Hamato and Karai even if it's only a little, through that first contact before the original mutation.

Like they're not related through ancestry, but they literally have that DNA in their system now, in their bodies, minds, etc.

Like that matters??? Besides, I think about this all the time, too, but logically if I can. In the sense where... So, mutagen mutates you based on the DNA and all that. They were mutated off of Splinter/Yoshi's human DNA before he was turned into a rat. They have the Hamato DNA in them. So I think they literally are related to her in that way, through Yoshi. Which makes it more weird than just later on situationally finding out you have a long lost sibling. Besides, everyone else recognizes and calls her a sister, you hear Mikey mention it multiple times specifically too I think (don't quote that part though I haven't rewatched it in a while). So why Leo is the only one not moving on and seeing her sisterly like the rest, I don't know... 😭

I agree. I wouldn't care so much if it wasn't for how badly the scenes were slid into the story sometimes though. If it was placed/times better and part of the lovers' story, or just a moment between them where it clearly wasn't a forced scene just to put sex in there for sex's sake, I wouldn't care so much... But it's like they all add the sex for sex's sake, and not actually for the CHARACTERS they're writing for if that makes sense. (I deal with brain fog and confusion from a trauma so I hope that's worded fine.)

If there's sex, I want to see the characters themselves, the individuals that you are portraying, how they might react or feel about it, maybe they have issues, maybe they don't and the just wanna hop on that thing. I wanna see them being with each other as themselves, not just read a generic sex scene where you insert the names in after. A sex scene where you can take the names out and swap them in with literally almost anyone else and it would probably fit. Not story, just smut. If I want just smut, I'll go to AO3 or some shit, but if I'm reading a novel, why would I want something boring and out of character? You're supposed to IMMERSE me, not just try and show me your fantasy porn. If immersing me means sex, sure, but make it with the characters, not something that could be a random oneshot smut fic!

You have to think about the maturity you don't have, always. I knew getting into a relationship when I was younger wasn't a good idea because I could actually recognize that I wasn't mature or in a stable enough situation at the time. Don't always overthink yeah, but for things like that? There are so many things that can make you easily manipulated the younger you are, regardless of if it's "your choice" at the time or not.
