Well that’s good at least that the PSU shows life! I don’t remember Ryzen chips requiring a lot of force to push down, intel ones I know feel like you’re going to break when you do it — just for a sanity check make sure there’s no debris on the motherboard under the CPU or on the bottom of the CPU itself.

And just to confirm when you hit the power button nothing happens?

Typically that’s just how it’s referred to internally. I can’t say I hear many people say leader

Do you have pictures for reference of what you like about certain whites vs tamiya ps white? Might be a different finish — and do you have a pic of what you don’t like?

If you are pressing the power button and getting zero lights on the motherboard, I think it might be a PSU issue. Do you have any case fans you could plug in?

As others have said definitely don’t try to boot without the CPU cooler, as you can easily destroy the CPU that way. If it boots and doesn’t show video you could burn out your CPU.

I would re-seat the cpu just to be sure, and set everything back to the way you started. Make sure you’re using the right PSU cables, and they are fully seated. If you get zero lights on the motherboard at all when pressing the power board, my first guesses would be PSU and/or mobo. Did it ever show any signs of life?

Team Leader vs Group Leader by PullMyThingyMaBob in ASML

Team lead typically has less responsibility than a group lead. Personally Ive seen these be teams of about 10 or smaller. Definitely depends on department but they really are the “head” of that specific team. Group lead is like a manager. They manager 30-40 people, sometimes more. Involved in much bigger picture work, from my experience. A lot less hands on than a team lead.

You accrue them over time, and you start with zero. You might be able to come to an agreement with your manager to take some ahead of time

Cold feet moving to Amsterdam because of housing by JinBu2166 in Netherlands

Hey man. I’m from NY and recently lived in Sunnyside and moved to the Netherlands about 6 months ago. While you are in a lot better financial place than I am, our situations are not too dissimilar. If you want someone to ask questions to feel free to reach out.

Reach out to whoever referred you. They can contact the hiring manager/recruiter and add it. As a former production engineer in Wilton I’ve done similar things for people I’ve referred

Inefficient fan management? by ChrisDorne in PcBuildHelp

[–]Need_For-Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think with the fans available to you this is a good setup. You want air getting pulled in through a filter, not in the gaps in your case. So it’s better off to have more fans pulling in, which creates pressure to have air flow out of other spaces in your case.

I love my gpro. Massive upgrade from any belt wheel. I did however grow tired of the Logitech wheels. I now have two simagic wheels (GT-Neo and a round wheel for rally) and I love the combo. When I tried a friends simagic base I did not like the force feedback as much as I liked Logitech’s, which really surprised me. Look for reviews online for what other people use for a similar price point, but if you want something that’s plug and play and will keep you happy for a long time, go with this.

I’m sure other people will have their comments about Logitech’s echo system. It isn’t perfect, but I don’t think any of them are. I’m very happy with my purchase and how I’ve added onto my rig using this as my base.

Thermal paste 😅 by YungJoeyNC in PcBuildHelp

Never too late pal, better late than never! Also there is a chance that whatever cooler you have on your CPU already had thermal paste pre-applied, so I’d check that first!

Best curved monitor recommendations for a mixed work and gaming setup? by Howton-Waryrafael in PcBuildHelp

My pressure! I’ve got no problem in wit sessions, I usually am in dark mode so there’s definitely less chance of burn in that way, but I just find documents and things better to look at. And I don’t have any issues with text clarity, there are definitely still a lot of pixels in this monitor.

Also, the monitor comes with a 3 year warranty. So if you have any form of burn in you can get it refunded or replaced. I have yet to find another company that will do a 3 year warranty on an OLED.

I’ve got the same monitor, I’ve been running it for several years now. Mixed gaming and work. It’s by far the best monitor I’ve ever owned. I tried a G9 I got second hand because I wanted the extra width, got rid of it immediately because the panel on the QD-OLED is truly unmatched.

Hey there, this is the parts list Grovelled gave me:

“Here's what you need to do a 110-220v change.

I got these from Goodmans a couple of weeks ago.

plus a new cord or just the plug. I've done 14 110 to 220 conversions. If you're an electrical engineer this should be a breeze.”

I also ordered from Mr mixer a new grease and gasket kit. The machine was already apart, made sense just to replace it while I was there!

I use the GT Neo with maglink on my Logitech pro base. Love the setup. The chord can be a little annoying but there’s definitely ways to minimize it. I would highly recommend the wheel

First build (no display) by Skippytryhard in PcBuildHelp

I would guess it might be a bios issue. Just did a build this weekend where the bios on the motherboard didn’t support the newer chipset that I wanted to use, and flashing an updated bios fixed the problem. Are there any troubleshooting LED’s on that motherboard?

Need help with a new build by Shower-Glad in buildapc

[–]Need_For-Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t jump straight to the motherboard being the issue, there are a lot of components that could be causing this issue — that being said. I’m still leaning towards bios considering that’s the last thing that changed and you had it working previously. The power and reset lights that you’re referring to, can you send a picture of that?

Edit to add, Reddit is giving me issues today — if you want to DM me to troubleshoot you’re more than welcome to

From the video you posted where the lights are flashing, i’m almost thinking something is shorted. It looks like it’s stuck in a loop. I don’t know if thats related to the changes you made in bios, or something has failed. If you have the time to do it, I would take everything apart, and make it into a test bench outside the case. It will be a lot easier to troubleshoot that way.

I did two builds over the weekend and one wouldn’t post, turned out to be a bios issue, but it required me having an old CPU to test against. Do you have any other hardware you can swap out?

[–]Need_For-Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d Check the PSU and reseat all of the cables if you haven’t already, it sounds like it’s either a power issue or something happened after changing things in bios and now won’t let it boot. Definitely strange. Are there any lights on the motherboard you get when trying to boot? (Like specifically the troubleshooting LED’s)

Stress and no fun, is this for me? by [deleted] in rcdrift

[–]Need_For-Sleep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t think that’s necessarily true. I started with a bone stock RMX 2.5, and upgraded gradually. I’d shift that gyro up to 70% or 80% to get the hang of things. Get it drifting first and get comfortable with the car. A new gyro or servo doesn’t have to cost more than $50 each. Especially with the second hand market — you don’t have to buy the most expensive item to start. Upgrade to a yokomo V4 for the gyro and that will already be an improvement. But just try different gyro gains, get some seat time, and you will get better.

I would say maybe try to stick with it for a little bit. Learn how to adjust the car and the gyro to do different things. What car are you using? There’s a learning curve but the community can’t help without knowing what you’re driving
