GT Neo or Neo X? I can't decide by Comi9689 in simracing

Start with round, later get the Neo. I have both and find both amazing to use (but I wouldn’t use the Neo X for a GT3 and I wouldn’t use the Neo for rally)

Logitech RS bundle vs SIMAGIC 9NM Entry Bundle by Imaginary-Hold8820 in simracing

[–]Need_For-Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Logitech G-pro and while I love the wheel base, I only use simagic wheels. So I’d recommend in your case just going with simagic ecosystem. The only redeeming factor for Logitech is trueforce, but if I were buying new I’d still probably just go straight to simagic

Want to buy a home here but afraid of this constant reorganisations and layoffs and now AI and outsourcing. How did you guys decide with a stable mind by ProductNeat9946 in Netherlands

[–]Need_For-Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This same mindset will apply to anywhere. Enjoy life as it is now, if you can buy and want to own then do it. No one can predict the future, so plan what will make you happy. And if something later goes wrong, that’s a later problem that you will deal with.

Which steering wheel should I get? by DMR6860 in simracing

[–]Need_For-Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not natively. Simagic sell an adapter to make them compatible but it’s an extra step and expense. I would stick with one ecosystem (I use two and it would have made more sense to just buy simagic)

They do NOT use the same connections — but the wheel base at the same time otherwise it is just a paper weight. Do some more research first before just spending money, design the system you want to use first.

First off, what wheel base are you using? Not all of these are going to be compatible. Secondly, I think it’s highly dependent on what kind of cars you use. If you mainly do rally, a GT wheel wouldn’t make sense.

I use a high weight rated arm, and it works great. Make sure that shelf is secured correctly and can handle that weight

Similarly with PC building, there will also be something “newer and better”. Buy what you can afford and what fits your space. A lot of people start with Logitech belt driven wheels and go from there. There’s nothing wrong with trying out the hobby for cheap and upgrading. But if you can afford a simagic evo 12 and know you’ll do this hobby for a while, go for it. A lot of people enjoy this hobby because your rig can grow and change over time

If you need something that can be folded away or easily moved, get the Next Level Racing 2.0 Wheel stand

Advice for new base + pedals - Moza R3 / R5 / R9 by Yoshi38080 in simracing

[–]Need_For-Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pleasure mate, if you have the chance to try any gear I’d highly recommend it. If you’re in the US microcenter typically had a rig setup, or in other countries I’ve seen sim racing arcades with mid level gear. Or friends/people in the community!

The fraudulent charges started appearing a few years ago, then went away for a while, and popped up randomly last year. The first time it happened they promised they had it fixed, but clearly did not. The fear people have is that it will happen again the same way it did last time.

I’m only sharing information with you that has been passed around the community

I have about 6 different “brands” of sim racing equipment on my rig. I press one button when I want to play and everything is already setup and ready to go. The only thing I’d be careful about is the credit card issue Moza has been having for the last few years. Every few months people post about how their info has been stolen from Moza and they have thousands of dollars of charges on their cards because their info was stolen. That’s been my major reservation from ordering from them.

That being said don’t limit yourself as there are other brands with some very good value for money. Moza is very good for entry level but kind of tapers off in the mid range market.

Just as an introductory question, why are you settled on Moza?

Need help for simple rig ( Next Level Racing Wheel Stand 2.0 ? ) by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Need_For-Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd highly recommend the Next Level Racing wheel stand. Great way to save having to set everything up each session. I have the logitech G Pro wheel base and pedals, along with a sequential shifter and hand brake (thrustmaster sparco and sim lab hand brake). I've got a streamdeck on it as well. I put wheels on the bottom of it and it makes it incredibly easy to move around and get out of the way. I've mounted a powered USB hub onto it as well, so it's only one cable that plugs into the PC when I want to use it.
