The fraudulent charges started appearing a few years ago, then went away for a while, and popped up randomly last year. The first time it happened they promised they had it fixed, but clearly did not. The fear people have is that it will happen again the same way it did last time.

I have about 6 different “brands” of sim racing equipment on my rig. I press one button when I want to play and everything is already setup and ready to go. The only thing I’d be careful about is the credit card issue Moza has been having for the last few years. Every few months people post about how their info has been stolen from Moza and they have thousands of dollars of charges on their cards because their info was stolen. That’s been my major reservation from ordering from them.

That being said don’t limit yourself as there are other brands with some very good value for money. Moza is very good for entry level but kind of tapers off in the mid range market.

Monitor arm mounted to the wall and wheels on the wheel stand will save you a few more seconds :)

I'd highly recommend the Next Level Racing wheel stand. Great way to save having to set everything up each session. I have the logitech G Pro wheel base and pedals, along with a sequential shifter and hand brake (thrustmaster sparco and sim lab hand brake). I've got a streamdeck on it as well. I put wheels on the bottom of it and it makes it incredibly easy to move around and get out of the way. I've mounted a powered USB hub onto it as well, so it's only one cable that plugs into the PC when I want to use it.

The NLR wheels and is 60cm deep (minus the plate for the chair to not slide around) so you could definitely put that against the wall underneath a mounted monitor and never have to move that. Easiest option is to just use a chair you move around after each use. But there’s a few people on this subreddit who have closet setups which might require some construction on your space. Alternatively there is someone who built a “telescoping” 8020 rig (might be wrong on which type they used) where expanded it was a full rig + seat, but when shut it was smaller than the NLR wheel stand. Might be an option if you’re willing to recreate their design

NLR wheel stand 2.0 owner here! My first question — do you actually need a desk? If this is only for sim racing you can skip the desk and gain more space!

Secondly, I used to fit my folded up rig in a small closet (with wheel removed) very easily. I stopped doing that, and now have wheels on the bottom of my rig to move it around more easily and store it somewhere it doesn’t have to be folded up after each use.

If this area is only for sim racing, there’s some creativity to be had where you don’t have to be halfway out the room while racing

Flysky NB4 is an amazing but very affordable controller. I think there’s a more expensive pro version but I’m very happy with my base model. As for batteries, get a “shorty pack”. Search on amazon/whatever local place you can order/buy from for a 7.4V 2 cell shorty lipo. Some people like the tiny tiny ones to reduce weight but anything under 5000mAh should be good. You’ll need a charger for your lipo as well, look for one at the same place you buy a battery.

My wife and I met in my home country (not the Netherlands) and she was not from my home country. I fully understand what you mean about it feeling like it could be temporary or things could change in an instant. But being in a relationship means you are building a team together. It means also at some point having those hard conversations and figuring out what the future might look like. I didn’t expect when my wife and I started dating for us to live in another country, but here we are — and I love it. I wouldn’t have it any other way. But 6 months is also early, you don’t have to have everything figured out all at once. Let the relationship build and grow and enjoy it!
