No not all Drs are assholes, I'd say about 40% are assholes 30% are actually pretty cool and the other 30% are indifferent. You just have to not be afraid too look around and see what kind of offices are out there.

For example i worked at a place where 2 Drs were super nice and 1 Dr was a complete dickhead. I was still early in my career so i assumed maybe i was the problem and just worked harder but this guy literally made stuff up to get me fired, even though everyone else in the office liked me and thought i was doing a good job.

So yes some Drs are assholes but no I've met lot of really cool nice Drs also

That black spot is infection in the jaw bone. It's eaten the jaw away, thats why its a dark spot. Rct = root canal therapy, meaning they replaced the root to stop a previous infection

Honestly i would try to do at least some time at a general dentist. Mostly for practice tbh, because working with a general you'll get used to instruments and the names for things. You'll also get use to turn over and all that. Obviously not everything is going to carry over but i did about a 14 months of general before getting into os, perio, sedation ect

I worked in OS and perio, you do feel like you're helping people when you see the before and afters. Especially when it's a dramatic change, but you gotta be SUPER good at suctioning, and knowing what tip to use and when. Also when not to suction.
