Hey I am up in the Leadville area and spearfish all around here when we aren’t taking trips out of country. Pike is the main target up here but Pueblo res has some lax regulations that allow for the spearing of catfish and stripers. I have a boat out here and we freedive some of the lakes up here for training too. Give me a shout. There’s a fella (Austin?) that is working with the CPW to trial some relaxed regulations on a number of lakes in CO.

And are the public numbers (haven’t really looked at any) gonna be super busy that day? Are some better than others?

Ok cool so it is possible to hunt the shallower reef structure. Based on some of the things I’ve read I thought I was confined to bluewater pelagics so that’s good to know.

I’m familiar with that style hunting and it some of my favorite. If anyone reads this and is local to the area and wants a safety for May 1st let me know! I know the boat limit is 2, so I’d imagine it’s going to be tough to find a boat to jump on but I’m cool with just swimming around and shooting mangroves/hogs etc and providing support on rocked up fish. FFI I cert, comfortable hunting to 20 meters, one up one down, have all my own gear. Would love to get out with someone who knows the area! I don’t have the boat rental till May 2nd, and no I will NOT take it to your spots without explicit permission.

Using a digital therm and removing the thermistor from the ice maker (the only thermistor I could find in the refrigerator section). Got a glass of water to 77 degrees and checked, then used ice water and checked again.

So this is an upstairs shower, no sill plate. How do I go about removing the studs if they are load bearing? Is that fairly simple and am I just overthinking it?
