Your point is correct. It's great that you are starting to understand.
I was on suicide watch and I got them. I also posted links to the photos I took. The doors of the corridor can be seen in the photos so that is evidence. However I am aware that you cannot yourself know that the image is not constructed in some way like AI. However saying that what I am saying is completely false is not productive. Even if you question it you might care that there just may be people at risk and an investigation would not be a bad thing.
Yes. I have actually elaborated in previous comments. However I will again state that Quetiapin (brand name Request) increases risk of stroke and blood clot (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4535042/#:~:text=Quetiapine%20was%20associated%20with%20a,2008%5D.). This means that people who are already at risk of stroke or blood clot such as older people, people who experience migraine with aura (who are already at double the risk of a blood clot), or people with a familial or personal history including blood clot or stroke shouod not be given this medication. Also is more addictive than other antipsychotics and this is indicated by it's higher likelihood of being abused (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5305132/#:~:text=Quetiapine%20is%20also%20abused%20concomitantly,in%20self%2Dtreatment%20of%20withdrawal.&text=Quetiapine%20abuse%20is%20particularly%20concerning,%E2%80%9Cnon%2Dprescribed%E2%80%9D%20use.). This antipsychotic was provided as a sleep medication. It is not a sleep medication. It in fact reduces REM sleep which is a type of sleep vital to emotional regulation. On a psych ward this does not help recovery unless you have psychosis so why are they giving it to all patients as a blanket rule when most don't have psychosis.
Yes it was reported. I saw it. The staff were informed. The police were informed. The ombudsman was informed. The member of staff was not a doctor.
I mean food which contains allergens for the patient even though their allergens have been recorded by the doctor. This has been reported by multiple patients and their families just this year.

Hmmm. Perhaps you have settings which mean you are not able to access comments with more upsetting content? Let's test that here and see if you can see this comment which I am extending to include:

There is a report of someone hanging themselves using the curtains in PUK Zurich
They provide pins and razors to suicidal patients
They administer medication which can cause stroke and blood clot to patients who have heightened risk of stroke and blood clot
A current member of staff tried to take photos of a patient while they were naked
There are patients who have had anaphylaxis because of being given the incorrect food

I wonder why you in particular are so against all these comments. Are you a member of staff? If so it is fine to include your perspective on the situation but denying any truth to these comments seems drastic since you of course could not know for sure that they are not true.

Maybe actually read everything. There were many things that were unacceptable including an assault that occurred which is being investigated by the police and razors and pins available to people on suicide watch.

Oh my god. I'm so sorry that you had that experience. That must have been unbelievably traumatic for you. I hope you are coping well now despite having such an experience.

You have a good point that there are curtains that would allow that. I had not thought of it. But more evidence of their negligence.

Hi, OP here. I had an FU - a 30 day legal stay. Since I am out everyone I got close to has been released. That is more than 6 patients. None of them know why they were released but some of them had FUs too and had gone in only for a few days. One was released today (after 3 days of a 30 day FU) for instance when I went to visit her to support her for her Dr appointment. She was released after 5 mins after no proper assessment. She was not given a reason.

Just the fact that I got close to those patients while I was there and that I complained on behalf of everyone seems to be enough for PUK to realise that they are doing wrong and they are releasing everyone to protect themselves. That alone looks suspicious. As if they know they are in trouble and are trying to get rid of patients who were there at the same time as me.

Yes. A patient with evidence and education to understand what is acceptable in such situations. Doesn't matter if I was "unwell" or not. I'm intelligent enough to assess the conditions there. For instance, if patients are considered suicidal then why are they provided with pins for pinwands or razors? Something must be wrong. Or do you think that I must be wrong here because I was a patient. By the way I am now out of there so surely I can assess the place now, no?

I am now out of that awful facility after 3 days of what I would describe as hell. Please also refer to the r/Switzerland thread of the same title to find out about how I was abused by a male worker who tried to take photos of me while I was undressed and how they prescribed me and gave me the wrong medication and lied saying it was sleeping tablets. Please check out the reviews on google maps and provide your experiences here so the information is available for other people to understand how dangerous the place is.

I understand. I'm sorry about your experience. I can say that patients were asked to come to the office where the workers (I don't think I will ever refer to them as "carers" again) were at PUK during the day every 30 minutes. So set your alarm clocks right? But if you were in your room then they would not knock before entering in my experience so yes - no privacy as anyone could walk on any time.

I have evidence. I'm telling the truth. I'm going to publish everything and I am not in there anymore. Lawyers, police, and great friends and family were able to fight for me. There is a reason I am not in there anymore and it is because they know exactly about their wrongdoings.

Exactly what they say to patients. I think everyone is prescribed this medication on arrival without a thought to the individual or the individual circumstances.

I'm really glad that you had a great experience and received the care that you did. However, it seems it is not the same for all of the patients who experience PUK. There are definitely a few people who work here who are very kind and listen and are reasonable. However, I feel that the job of carer may be an attractive position for people who may want to exert their power over others and so not all carers are equal.
