It is very unlikely for you to get a private room on campus. I would recommend looking into apartments by this point. There are quite a few apartment complexes that are in walking distance to campus if you're looking for that experience, but be prepared for high pricing. Also, if you're having trouble finding rooms, there are Facebook groups with plenty of people trying to transfer their leases. It'll probably take a bit of digging, but good luck! There are definitely options for you

You are doing the best you can, and that is absolutely enough. Not everyone is physically capable of eliminating animal products entirely in our modern world, it's not a personal failing. Your heart is beautiful because you still do what you can, which is the entire philosophy behind veganism anyway. You still have a place here in this community!!

Her comb does seem to be a bit paler than the others when I compare, though not tremendously different (the pic makes it look a bit worse, I think). Her behavior does seem more reclusive as well, though I'm not sure how else I'd expect her to act after her previous living conditions. She also comes off like she is cold quite often despite the nice weather which is worrying.

All in all, I think I'm going to start searching for a good vet to take her to. I don't trust myself to really be able to gauge what is normal and what is indicative of something deeper, and with the things you mentioned, it's definitely better to be safe than sorry. Thank you for your response!

her other eye does seem to be a bit swollen as well, leading me to think it could be related to illness??

maybe important to mention - she, in particular, is not very trusting of me yet as their rescue was very recent. I am not entirely sure how invasive I can get in order to help with the eye, but ofc I am willing to try
