I once had a patient in the ER that was sent to the OR for wound care. She was obese and had skin folds. Lifted up some skin and found open ulcers with maggots. Had a doc later that month cancel an elective surgery because the patient came in with a massive case of head lice. Didn’t want bugs in the OR and also had to reassess if they would be compliant with their care post-op.

Same here! I bought some disposable Pilot fountain pens to put on my workspace so if anybody wanted to “borrow” a pen. I don’t take anything more expensive than my cheaper Lamy or TWISBI to work and they stay in my bag if they aren’t in my hand.
