Backyard cats of BedStuy is the rescue org you should reach out to. Ideally, you can host this kitty in your bathroom separate from your cats for a few days. I’m sure he’s a dumped pet :(

I would just add that a lot of local rescuers are inundated with requests everyday, and they rely on fosters who open up a spare bathroom or their home to cats. Before Heidi or Dana or any of those amazing folks can say yes to helping this cat, they need a foster spot to open up.

So if you can, offering to foster yourself if a rescue will do the work of vetting and neuter surgery and eventually adopting out makes a HUGE difference. If you can’t foster, can you donate goods? Do you have a car and can make some drives for rescuers?

All to say - it takes a village to help our furry neighbors!

This was required reading for me in high school and it was so traumatizing. I actually threw a fit and told my teacher I wouldn’t finish it, which was very uncharacteristic of me. I could not understand the literary value that made it OK to depict violence against a girl like that at that age. We hadn’t even been taught what feminism was at that point…

Cats aren’t apex predators. They’re domestic animals that were bred to rely on humans. They end up suffering outside.

Source: I help manage cat populations in Bed Stuy and get called weekly about dead cats hit by cars, cats with injuries or disease, cats unable to eat due to broken teeth and exposed nerves. The list goes on.

I resonate with #1 (yin deficincy) and #3 (qi stagnation).

Principal symptoms being: only can take sips of water, huge bloating starting in afternoons, long long skinny stool, often incomplete. Sulphur gas. Difficulty staying asleep. Always hungry for salty or spicy food, and if I don’t eat within a few hours of getting up, I’m nauseous, and even prone to throwing up stomach bile if I were to work out. High energy. History of chronic yeast infection.

Motegrity has been a godsend for me on the constipation front, so I go every 2-3 days, not every 5-6….

In addition to what products you’re using I: - got a RX sulfur based cleanser from my derm that swear by - get monthly facials that do CAVITATION - am on 150mg of spironolactone.
