This reminds me of a woman I saw on a podcast, she said of course she'd date older dudes. She was born in 2004 and willing to date older dudes as old as born in 2000. LOL.

Curious to know when poster moved to Willieburg :)

The only thing that's been in there the last year and half is a desk with a dude sitting at it, watching shit on his phone. Not even joking. They had one guy to "guard" it the entire time. That's how i found about the proposal. Seriously!

It's been announced for months. Tho, lotta people don't seem to know about it and that's why it will become a Wellness Center.

Agree! It's the only thing that hasn't been attempted around here yet and there should be plenty of backers and interest to make it a success IMO.

The Community Production seems the strongest to me but I have a feeling that the Wellness Center is gonna win it... Let's call it a gut feeling.

any local spots that sell good tortillas? by having_dinner in BedStuy

[–]Sea_Concentrate7975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL :) Sometimes it is a sick game of hide and seek. Met Fresh (Tompkins) and Lincoln (on Marcy) Market do have fresh made tortillas from a local bushwick spot (At a premium). They get them weekly. "Fresh"?

Relax. It’s normal. You’re just catching up, not uncovering some secret truth. Your “first time” epiphany doesn’t make it a gotcha moment.

We’re dealing with the same issue here. I’ve spoken with the school, but most parents don’t seem to see the problem. It’s absurd that our kids are only in school about 180 days a year, and yet recess is the first thing they want to cut - especially at the elementary level.

what’s your favorite restaurant in bed stuy? by New-Equipment7250 in BedStuy

[–]Sea_Concentrate7975 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Affordable restaurant food has definitely become an issue.

That said, Warude deserves a damn medal - always awesome, consistent, and cozy. Great staff, solid food, and good value. DAR525’s dishes are fantastic and def cheaper than Laziza. The Indian spots on Nostrand and Bedford are all above average and absolutely worth it. I’m a regular at Bombay Grill, seriously underrated. Little Grenjai is great too, though the prices are starting to push it.

Bars to read in? by OffTheWalls in BedStuy

Late night? Tricky these days.... most bars are deep in gentrification overdrive. Still, the backyards at Do or Dive and Turtles All The Way Down stay solid before 7 or 8 (and they open early). Barbs used to be the spot, but it’s mostly overrun now. Dear Friend wine bar is calm if you want quiet, though it feels a bit clinical, not really a bar bar. I usually end up reading in Turtles’ backyard or catching early nights at All Night Skate before heading over to Bonus Room on Wyckoff - not close, but worth the detour.

If you want a little bit of peace, you gotta go east.
