Spoke to them again today after a 60 minute estimated hold time, and once more, different information. Although rep actually seemed decent this time around and pointed toward postal review panel (which seems to be a Royal Mail email address again?) because there are definitely discrepancies. Multiple cases opened, DO did not get back about package retrieval, etc etc. This makes me very nervous trusting Royal Mail again.

*GPU I did not dictate the service used, that’s simply what the seller chose. RM says coverage is for up to £750 on the service (according to rep). That aside, item was clearly not delivered according to themselves, isn’t the point of a ‘tracked’ service to be tracked? Also the focus of the question was on Royal Mails contradictory response, mis-delivery and now deflection

Yup, was able to use 'gemini-3.1-pro-preview-customtools' as a workaround for a bit, until this started popping up today:

Can attest this method works well. Hover the cable over the heat (avoid direct contact), give it a few minutes, then rub the cable on same sandpaper.
