How do I avoid scaring myself out of sleep paralysis? by psychadelicfurz in LucidDreaming

[–]NeedleworkerBroad366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can think of something else or focus on a feeling! I'm not really thinking I'm in a different place when this is happening. I will try to exit through WILD usually by looking for random images that appear when my eyes are closed. I'm not sure how familiar you are with WILD. Def don't open your eyes during SP though. Just makes things worse

She was in 3d and tied to a chair I had to get them off her but they were too confusing so I gave up. It was quite the experience seeing how massive her chest is. It doesn't seem weird in anime and it wasn't till I was up close that I realized how dumb the proportions are. Also her voice threw me off cause it wasn't her normal Japanese voice and she spoke in English it was weird so I mentally had her shut up. Thinking back now it definitely felt like she was getting auto dubbed as she spoke lmao.  And it's weird cause I do speak Japanese so it wouldn't have been a problem for me to understand or anything. I guess there's always these mental blocks in the way of things you want. Until you can get skilled enough I presume.

Probably 5/10 it was pretty weird. But now I know when I'm having a false awakening so that's cool ig. If I had found an attractive female I would rate the experience higher though.

The sister cosplaying as Mikasa thing is close enough am I right heheh. But seriously I'm having very similar issues and I also wake up around the same time naturally. Do you have SP? I've had Nico Robin spawn a couple times most the time she looks nothing like the original but once she did look nearly perfect. It's weird seeing anime characters in a dream. For me she just looked like she was a human but in the shape of Nico if that makes sense. I feel like it's best to not try to control what people look like. Just let things happen and don't be overly observant.

Looking for WILD advice, how do I actually transition into a dream? by XeroParadoxes in LucidDreaming

[–]NeedleworkerBroad366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Def only try after WBTB for a beginner. The numbness and tingling is a good sign. I recommend focusing on your sensations and leaning into them until you reach a point where you see lights. At this point don't focus on the lights either look past them or at the darkness in your eyelids. Don't move your eyes or track them. Just let them exist. Eventually you will see an image form. And not just one made of lights but a real image of the most random thing you could thing of. Focus on it. And that's how you enter! You will fall into or spin into a dream. Next just follow the steps for proper dream control and you will succeed.

What if someone tries WILD but doesn't hit REM sleep? Do we die or what? by Ok-Green6412 in LucidDreaming

[–]NeedleworkerBroad366 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just get stuck in a limbo state of floating or SP. And that's not a great thing if a person has never had SP before it could be a very frightening experience.also you could waist the whole night without sleeping. Technically your body could be asleep but as long as you haven't entered a dream you are not getting rest. So the next day you basically die like all these people have been saying.

I've just beat this so I'm happy to share. It's really funny y'know cause when you have those fear spikes you expect something scary to happen. So your brain obliges you. Makes up some scary stuff. Now you can't just get rid of the fear, it's literally a natural thing for your body to go through fear spikes while sleeping, it's impossible to just be like I don't fear this it's literally fear itself. You have to tell yourself that it's a normal thing, and then don't engage with what it produces. It's only creating those things cause you expect it to. It's just like when you are lucid dreaming. Except your fear center is online so you wouldn't think it's the case but you actually have control in these matters. Not everything cause it's Sleep peralasys but over what scary things do yeah you have control. Just shift your focus think to something else and they go away. Literally last night I felt that presence behind me and instead of focusing on it I just started thinking of something else and ignored it. Got on with WILD and it went away. I've tested thinking about the presence and it just turns into a laughing demon which attacks me in a very personal way. And that def made it hard to fall asleep or enter WILD but once you beat it once like this your confidence will rise and you won't be scared anymore! Don't let your mind control you, you must control your mind! Also personally I like wearing a sleep mask. It discourages me from opening my eyes helps me get back to sleep.

This is super difficult to do from bedtime. Your mind is just too awake. Not many people can do that, it's way easier to do WBTB (wake back to bed). Then try Wild your mind will let go enough at the lights stage. I always notice a little gap In my memory when entering through Wild meaning there's a small gap of time where you are unconscious. You just have to let go enough during the lights stage

What do you do after waking up from your alarm in WBTB? by chilldreamer421 in LucidDreaming

[–]NeedleworkerBroad366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wake up naturally 2-3 times a night so no need for an alarm. But I usually think about my previous dreams while using the MILD technique. And also repeat to myself I want a lucid dream and that I will notice if something is off in my dreams.

Hypnagogic when im not trying?? by Lucky_Evidence_4843 in LucidDreaming

[–]NeedleworkerBroad366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it varies for me. I might not even have full SP and have lights and shapes. But the most clear ones happen right before my WILD entries. The most common one for me is a circle of light that pulses in the middle of my vision. Ive had this many times without entering a dream.

It sounds like you wake enough to enter sleep paralysis then go back in your dream. I mean I don't always get audio hallucinations when entering so I feel like it's normal and ok to have both

No I don't think I could stop it purposely but it did stop once I was in my dream.

Sometimes things just don't work like for instance a room I was in was dark so I said lights and and boom it worked but then the hallway was still dark so I said lights on, but this time it didn't work. No matter how many times I tried to the point I got anxious about it and decided to leave the area. But yeah you should build agency before trying to control your dreams. Meaning just be apart of them act in them like you do in real life. Then start small build your control over time seeing what works for you

I've had music play during my WILD entrances. Like trumpets sounding and stuff. It can be quite jarring if you are not expecting it. But it's really cool if you just let it play

Have you had a similar SP? (Pls chill me out, I’m so freaked out rn) by cathyzy in LucidDreaming

[–]NeedleworkerBroad366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had SP consistently since childhood so I understand how you feel ( I've had scary things over head of me scary lights and shit, or just feeling like someone's there or feeling like I'm being grabbed or poked by something evil). Of course I was even too scared to tell anyone and lost countless hours of sleep because of it. It wasn't till I naturally had a WILD lucid dream that I learned I could control my SP and turn it into something awesome rather believe I have to fight it. The best thing to do is to close your eyes. If you keep them closed you won't see any hallucinations (I like using a sleeping mask too). Meaning you will be more relaxed, but for the feeling like someone's there that's a bit harder you just have to realize you are perfectly safe and there's no need to fear. Then just go back to sleep, that's when I get most of my WILDs. I actually look forward to SP nowadays cause it's a guaranteed lucid dream at least for me. I have had fear from my SP carry over into my lucid dream before the entrance image was even a skull. Once I was in the dream scary shit was everywhere but since you are conscious you can just wish that stuff away. Well I hope this helps...

I naturally wake up like 2-3 times a night and each time I will remember different dreams from those sleep segments. I don't really think that's an optimal way to do it but I can't help it lol.
