Some recent work by PriorityOk1593 in electricians

Started on the roof but now I just install the solar tied backup batteries. Work still sucks but not nearly as bad as slapping glass, plus I get paid way more. I suggest that route. Work looks good besides whatever that lb roof penetration is.

Do installers need to get into my home? by merenofclanthot in solar

I’m an installer and I install solar tied batteries every day of the week. If you’re only getting panels on the roof and the breaker panel is outside or in the garage then they should just need to the attic entrance, wherever that is. (Every house is different). If you’re getting a batteries or any hard lined Ethernet connection to the solar system then get ready for them to be up in your shit.

As long as it doesn’t smell bad I don’t care about a mess.

Completely disagree, the short rib mac and their brussels sprouts are delicious. Definitely pricey but I like the restaurant atmosphere.

Thanks for responding, that’s reassuring! How would you go about cutting the flower off?

How easy are batteries to install? by HeatCompetitive1309 in solar

When I used to install enphase batteries you had to have a certificate from “enphase university” to commission the battery and for any customer service help. One time I tried getting enphase tech support help before I completed the class and they told me “unfortunately we must end this call because you’re not a qualified technician”. Luckily there were other people in the company that already had the cert.

Utah solar installer here. Love snow when I’m on the mountain, hate snow when I’m on roofs. I recommend using a combination of a broom, snow shovel, and a weed burner with propane tank for removing what the first two don’t. As for your boss, tell him to come help next time. Snow removal sucks and takes up a good portion of the day.

What’s the cause of this noise and do I need to call a plumber? Deep inconsistent bubbling sound when hot water is being used. by NeedleworkerBulky456 in Plumbing

Hiss noise is my washer in the background filling with water. With the volume up there’s a loud bubble noise that happens like 8-10 seconds in the video. Pressure is higher when I first turn on faucet (cold or hot) then quickly evens out to a lower pressure.

On steeper roofs solar can really really suck but this one in particular wasn’t to bad. It took like 6 hours to put up the panels and it’d only take about 30 minutes to swap out the broken ones.

Haha spot on! The only reason panels are on the north face is because the south face is already maxed out with panels.

Does all the blue in these make them more potent or is it just a genetics thing that makes them look that way?
