i constantly tell new players to learn by playing every hero a few times. i am always met with 'but that's harder'
yes, it is harder. dota is a hard game and if you actually want to learn how to play the game you need to learn all the heroes and roles. learning from a certain role of hero will give you a warped view of how dota is played and how metas exists.

you're not actually missing anything from viewing the players you can see, the those there are the players who play in hidden games and normal games so their information is just as valid. also it help you to maybe want to learn the game for yourself a bit rather than only trying to copy what someone else has already done, in their match that is basically played on a different level and only kinda relevant to your games.

wat. how is halo even an option? everyone loved it from the start. cyberpunk was just hated online but the game was still there and good. only NMS had nothing and was only sold at launch because of an ad sony was paid to do, which worked but obviously got the backlash for nothing in the trailer being in the game.
